November 3. Chilly out. Snow on the ground. The edges of the lake started to freeze, becoming sleepy during the winter season. The tempestuous wind had crippled the trees, causing them to go bare and look like creepy skeletons. Six o’clock in the evening and it was already dark out. The desperation of foreshadowed snow was upon Templeton, willed to stay for the next few months, until the middle of April, after Easter. Hatch had an evening class.
