CHAPTER 9 After I got myself throwed out of Uncle’s house for good, I went back to the schoolhouse on account of not knowing anything else to do, and I made myself a little bed of leaves ’cause the snow hadn’t fallen yet, but it was coming real close on account of the trees having lost near everything on their branches.
