Samantha sat on the end of the long mahogany red table, while Toni and Lucille sat a few chairs away from her to avoid colliding at their sister's elbow.
"It's nice to have you back, Lady Samantha." Cornelia smiled at her, pleased that the real lady of the house was finally back.
Samantha nodded and returned the smile of the woman that has dedicated her life serving her family. "Thank you for your loyalty and service to my family, Cornelia. It's nice to see you again."
"Are you here to stay?" Cornelia asked. She knew the dangers of Samantha's presence in the city but she still wants to serve her no matter what happens.
Samantha shook her head saying, "You know why I can't, but thank you for your welcoming invitation. I don't get that a lot."
