Althea walked away from the door, she didn't hear a lot but she felt slightly curious about what happened to Kale's hate for Sabina. When he heard his laughter, she knew that was a genuine reaction from him. He only laughs like that around his Grandpa's jokes and she never imagined there's something that could make Kale and Sabina close.
