The Bermuda grass was still soppy from the morning dew, but it was wildly overgrown enough that it was heavily uneven throughout the yard. The grass began to grow into the cracks of the slightly crumbling front walkway, making the yard look more like a teenage boy"s unkept hair that had not been combed or trimmed in months. As the wheels of the push mower slowly turned and moved backwards and forwards, the wet grass would fling to the sides. This had the benefit of giving Daniel the ability to rake the cut grass into large clumps that could be easily placed into green hefty bags.
