JAYDEN’S POV. I knocked on Blair’s door, and Piper opened it, her expression guarded. She left the door open just enough to block my view beyond her frame. “Where is Blair?” I inquired. Piper glanced at me with a bored expression. “We are not accepting visitors at the moment,” she replied curtly. “Tell Blair it's Jayden,” I insisted, raising the flask of soup. “And I brought Chicken soup, Mrs. Brown’s specials.” Piper hesitated, then closed the door briefly before opening it again to let me in. Blair was coming down the stairs as I entered the sitting room. She wore a long white gown, her hair tied back in a messy ponytail, giving her a fragile appearance. “What’s up, princess?” I greeted, bowing playfully. “You really need to stop doing that, Jayden,” Blair said with a small smile
