Chapter 43

2004 Words

"He left me, said I'd be safer without him." Sebastian raised an eyebrow, "he's not wrong." I flicked him off, stumbling slightly as we came to the edge of the pier. The waves crashed underneath us, the water almost looked black under the moonlight, and I suddenly got the drunken idea to jump. Sinister wouldn't want me to. He would have a seizure if he saw me jumping off a pier. But why the f**k do I care what he thinks? He left me. He obviously doesn't care enough about me to stay with me, so why the hell should I live my life thinking about his approval? My body swayed from the mix of hard liquor and weed. I stumbled, barley feeling Sebastian's hand on my waist as I almost fell on my ass. "Okayy Calla" he chuckled, holding me upright "I think it's time I drive you and Rachel home."
