Who is he

Lisa's POV They shoved me into the back seat of a car, separate from the one my mysterious buyer was in. As the car sped off, I couldn’t help but panic, filled with fear and questions. Who was this mysterious buyer? Why would he spend so much money on me? But what frightened me even more was what he intended to do with me. Was he buying me to be his s*x slave? No! I shook my head. No man in his right mind would pay a million dollars just for that. Deep down, I felt he had another purpose for me, but I couldn’t pinpoint what it was. As the journey continued, I noticed something that made me frown: the car was driving into my old pack’s territory—the very place I had grown up in and the same place my father had urged me to escape. My eyes widened as I glanced at the two men seated beside me in the back seat. They wore hardened expressions and didn’t look familiar at all. My heart raced as fear crept in. Why were we returning to the pack? What could my buyer possibly want here? I wanted answers, but realizing I wouldn’t get any, I stayed silent and waited to see what would happen. The worst that could happen was… death. My frown deepened when we drove into the pack mansion—the home of our Alpha, a place my father often visited as one of Alpha Killian's warriors. I used to come here to see him, but now I couldn’t understand why my buyer was bringing me here. The car came to a halt, and the door swung open as I was dragged out like a criminal. My eyes landed on my buyer as he exited the other car with a regal air. The guards around us bowed to him with respect. Confused, I furrowed my brow but had no time to think before two guards gripped my arms and dragged me into the mansion. We entered the sitting room, where I was shoved to the cold, hard floor. My buyer took a seat on a single armchair like a king, his manner exuding authority, as if he owned the mansion. I couldn’t understand what was going on. Where was our Alpha? Who was this man, and why did he act like he ruled this place? For a moment, I wondered if he might be Alpha Killian’s son, but I knew that couldn’t be true. Alpha Killian had no children. Suddenly, my buyer’s piercing green eyes settled on me, sweeping over me as though he were assessing every inch of me. Our gazes locked, and I saw pure hatred in his eyes. He looked at me as if I were his worst enemy, and the intensity of his glare made me shiver in fear. I quickly averted my gaze, my heart hammering. “So, you are the daughter of Gamma Titus,” he spoke, his voice filled with an icy coldness that sent shivers down my spine. With a racing heart, I forced myself to meet his gaze but couldn’t manage a response. His eyes held a strange allure, and despite the anger, I felt an inexplicable pull. Nervously, I looked away. “Look at me when I’m speaking to you,” he demanded, his voice colder than ice. I forced myself to meet his piercing gaze again, even though every instinct told me to look away. This man—whoever he was—wasn’t just some powerful buyer. He commanded the room with an authority that only someone truly powerful could wield. My heart pounded so loudly in my chest that I was sure he could hear it. I wanted to ask why he’d brought me here and what he wanted from me, but my voice felt trapped, tangled with fear clawing at my throat. “Answer me,” he demanded, his tone sharp as ice, slicing through the silence. “Or has your father not taught you manners?” I swallowed hard, finally gathering the courage to speak. “Yes… Gamma Titus is my father.” My voice wavered, but I kept my gaze steady, unwilling to let him see how terrified I felt. He sneered, as though amused by my response. “I know exactly who you are, Lisa,” he said, his tone laced with bitterness. “The daughter of a traitor.” A chill ran through me. My father? I’d fled because he told me I was in danger, but he’d never mentioned anyone like this man—this strange but familiar who seemed to hold such rage against him, and, by extension, against me. I shook my head slightly, speechless as his gaze grew sharper. “I believe you don’t remember me, so I’ll refresh your memory,” he continued, voice thick with disdain. “I’m Alpha Nathan, the son of the late Alpha Luciano, the rightful leader of this pack, and the man whose life was nearly destroyed by your father’s treachery.” Nathan. The name struck me like a blow. He was the son of our former Alpha. But He was presumed to be dead. I was only four years old when his father was killed, followed by his mother two days later, and then he disappeared. I’d heard whispers of his tragic end. But here he was, alive and staring at me with a rage that promised nothing good. “Your father killed my mother right before my eyes. For twenty years, I have planned my revenge on him, but he thought he could escape my wrath by taking his life.” Alpha Nathan chuckled bitterly, his eyes dark with rage. My eyes widened at his words. My father was truly dead, and he’d been the assassin sent to kill Nathan’s mother? How could this be? Before I could process it, Alpha Nathan abruptly stood and yanked me up by my arm, slamming my back against the wall, knocking the air from my lungs. Pain shot through me, but I couldn’t gasp; he pinned me in place. He leaned in close, his face mere inches from mine, his cold, furious gaze piercing through me. “I’ve waited two decades for this moment, for the day when your father would pay for what he did to me. And since he took the coward’s way out… that leaves only you.” I swallowed hard, his words sinking in. “I didn’t know,” I whispered, my voice trembling. “He never told me… any of this.” “Ignorance is not innocence, Lisa,” he spat, his voice like a blade. I flinched in fear. “Your father’s sins don’t disappear just because he’s dead. Now, they fall on you.” His eyes darkened with rage. “I will break you,” he vowed, his eyes glinting with cruelty. “I’ll make you beg for death… but death will be a mercy I will never grant you.” I felt my blood run cold, his words cutting into me like icy claws gripping my soul. My heart pounded wildly, but I was too terrified to look away from his piercing green eyes. “I’ll drain the life from you, piece by piece, until there’s nothing left but a shell of the girl you once were.” He smirked, his eyes cruel. “And when you finally think you can’t endure anymore… I’ll remind you that your suffering is only beginning.” He released me abruptly, stepping away. “James!” he barked, and a familiar figure entered the room. I recognized him—James, a pack warrior I had known all my life. “Take her to her father,” he commanded coldly. “I believe she must be missing him.”
