Chapter Nineteen Alex I leaned back in my chair, carefully keeping my emotions in check. Zoe had dragged me down for a meeting with the prosecutor. I didn’t want to be here, my sentiments exacerbated by the arrogant prosecutor. Brian Wheeler, the prosecutor in question, sat across from Zoe and me in his office. The hum of noise from the hallway filtered through the door. The Seattle District Attorney’s offices were a hubbub of commotion.
