Episode 4

At the end of the story, the white sorcerer asked Michelle what she learned from the story and she said “I learned the reason why vampires and witches don't relate" Michelle also asked, “Have Mia succeeded in acting out her revenge?"

“No" the white sorcerer replied “One thing" she continued “about revenge is that it takes your peace of mind. Mia, before she came back to the world was restless. Even as she's in this world she has no peace of mind" the white sorcerer concluded

“Why mother?" Michelle asked

“She wants revenge and she hasn't gotten it so it's bordering her" the white sorcerer replied

Back on the road, Mia and Leo are still on the way. Leo seems to be walking slowly with his arms at his back. Mia walks slowly with hands in her pockets. They had few conversations from time to time. At some point in their conversations, there's an awkward silence as both will be lost in each of their thoughts. “Do you dislike her?" Leo suddenly asked

“No. Why would I? I don't just trust her" Mia said

“I don't mean the white sorcerer"

“Then who?"

“Mary"

“Why are you asking?"

“You don't hide it"

“Explain"

“You don't seem to act like you do. The last time you came to the abis and she answered you instead of me you snapped at her"

“I'll not say I dislike her"

“I will. You never liked her even in your previous life. When she tried being your friend at college you rejected her offer but accepted others freely" Leo said almost shouting

“Maybe this is why I dislike her"

“I don't understand and why are you or trying to hide the fact that you dislike her?"

“I'm not trying to hide anything"

“I'm sorry, your highness but won't take that. You didn't like her in your previous life and now you hate her even more" Mia stops abruptly. Leo feels blood run down his spine.

Mia cannot use her witch powers but that doesn't change the fact that she's strong and fast. Leo wasn't so old and still had his wizard powers but he's bound never to hurt royalty unless instructed by the head and Mia was immune to spells, attacks, accidents, and others. Anytime someone tries to harm her they get extremely injured just like Grandma Felicia who has tried so many times to harm her and has failed and caused herself more injuries.

Leo has seen and watched all this with the help of some friends. Mia faced Leo, eyes as red as blood. Leo unconsciously steps back. Mia realizing she scared him, inhales deeply and exhales. Her eyes became light blue before it goes back to normal.

“I apologize if I've offended you. I just needed..."

“Spare me the explanation" There was an awkward silence for a while as they walked ahead. Leo was pleading for forgiveness within him while Mia was thinking of breaking him.

“She was close to him," She said

“Who? Alex?" Leo asked

“Yes. She was in love with him. She wanted to get rid of me at any cause. I'm sure the only reason she got married to you was to remove her mind from him after he committed suicide"

“You know?"

“Know what?"

“You know that he committed suicide?"

“Yes"

“How? You were presumed dead immediately the portal closed and it took a week before he decided to take his life"

“My death took longer than the time the portal closed. I was able to witness a lot of things but was unable to carry out the initial plan. I started losing my breathe once I entered the Queen. I wasted some time though before going into her. Mary too wanted me to die and watched my every movement. She would've done the same thing as Alex did if I had succeeded"

“How were you able to know all this?"

“Once I started losing my breath, I was able to see what would happen after my death to the point of you getting married to Mary"

“Do you know why?"

“My eyes always tell me what I need to know and most times everything that happens or would happen that's why I want to get it back" She pauses “The eye sign" she continues “at the back of my neck (points the sign) is useless if I can't use it"

“I guess so but I don't think Mary's of much threat to you now"

“She is" Mia bluntly said “I can feel her presence or if it's not her someone is watching us," Mia said, stops, and looks back sharply scanning the area, Leo follows suit. Mia says “Show yourself" Leo repeats her words as he feels a strange air in the environment but no one and nothing showed up. Mia's eyes became red but not as red as when she got angry with Leo. She looked around with eyes still red but could see nothing. She turns around and moves ahead on which Leo follows but on her third step, she felt a rush of wind heading towards her and she immediately faces it and holds and lifts it. The rush of wind seemed to be a witch or wizard trying to attack her and it also seemed she was holding the witch or wizard's neck strangling him or her.

Due to her vampire strength, she didn't put much effort to lift and strangle the witch or wizard. The problem Mia was facing at that point was that she couldn't see who it was. When she felt the being was about to pass out she let go lightly and flings it trying to send it back to its starting point but instead it landed on a tree.

Once the being was flung, Mia turns around and walks ahead. Leo's amazed at how she acted. Yes, Mia also known as Queen Mia was strong and alert but since she cannot use her eyes people would try to kill her just like that being but they're all wrong thinking she's vulnerable. She still has her senses and could still counter an attack and Leo told himself that he was right to be scared of her even without her being able to use her witch powers.

At Mia's house, Amanda has been looking for Mia. Everyday, every morning Amanda goes to Mia's room to check on her, if Mia's asleep and there's no school for that day, she prepares breakfast but on this day, Mia woke up early before Amanda or Grandma Felicia were awake.

Amanda goes to her room and finds it empty. She skips a beat on seeing an empty room but calms down and chants. “She's home. She does this all the time" Amanda kept saying it to herself as she searches the house until she got to the garage door. When she gets there another thought came to her mind “What if she's not in her? What will I do? Where would she have gone without telling me?" But she puts herself together and opens the garage door.

No one was in there. Amanda almost became crazy. Another thought came to her head “She'll not be in here. She doesn't like this garage anyway. I should call Oscar, maybe she might be with him" She smiles at her final thought. She calls Oscar and after a couple of rings he picks up.

“Hello, ma. Good morning" Oscar greeted

“Good morning, child," Amanda said sounding troubled

“Is anything the matter?" Oscar asked

“My child... is Mia with you," Amanda said holding her breathe

“No. Why? Is she missing? Oscar said troubled

“No. She... well, I was playing a game with her and I think she left the house during the game"

“What game?"

“Hide and seek. Yes, she said it's called hide and seek"

“Mia suggested you two should play hide and seek?"

“Yes"

“Hmmm. I don't..."

“Can I call you back? I have something doing" Amanda said cutting the call immediately. Oscar saw what Amanda said as crazy as Mia doesn't act like she plays games.

He felt uneasy and called Mia but her phone was switched off and that was strange to him as Mia's phone had never been off before. Anytime he calls either she doesn't pick up or she sends a text after a minute saying she doesn't want to talk but it passed a minute and close to ten minutes and she hadn't texted him so he decided to go to her house.

In Mia's house, Amanda's behaving like a crazy person. She searches under the couch, inside the cupboard, inside the wardrobe, and places where a human cannot go into. Grandma Felicia goes to the sitting room and sees everywhere messed up and Amanda searches under the table and moves to the dining room, then looks behind the door and under the dining table.

Grandma Felicia asked, “What are you looking for?" “Mia" Amanda replied looking behind doors. Grandma Felicia chuckles and askes “Mia? Are you insane? How can Mia be under this little table and behind the doors? Don't you know your daughter?"

“Mum, I'll go insane if I don't find my daughter," Amanda said looking behind the TV. Grandma Felicia stared at Amanda and shook her head. She doesn't care if Mia gets missing or dies as long as she's out of this world she would be okay.

Grandma Felicia leaves without the acknowledgment of Amanda. A few minutes later, Oscar arrives. He knocks at the door, rings the bell but no one answered. He turned the knob and the door opened.

Oscar meets Amanda sitting on the floor knees close to her face as she looks troubled and sweating profusely. He rushes to her side. “Aunt? What happened?" He asked

Amanda looks at him with tears flowing down her cheeks. “I... don't know where she is. I've tried calling her but her phone was switched off and that has never happened before" She pauses and Oscar processes the information he just got and stares at space “What if" Amanda continues “they got her? What if her enemies had taken her? No (stands up) I won't let that happen" She concludes with determination written on her face and walks to the door.

Oscar, after processing all the information was able to speak “So what are we to do now? he asked still in the same position staring at the floor.

“I... I don't know" Amanda said as she seats back on the floor weeping. Oscar goes back to her side but is unable to think straight. Grandma Felicia cast a spell on a window and watched Oscar and Amanda's drama and says “Watching two people that I've made weak and stupid act that way is tiring" She removed the spell from the window and tries casting another spell to see where Mia was but it didn't work. She tried multiple times and the window broke and Grandma Felicia ran away.

While running she thought of reasons why the spell didn't work. She thought maybe the window wasn't clear enough or “Have she learned how to use her powers? And it's resisting mine" She said

“No. That's not possible" She concluded. She runs to Mr. Davis's company panting hard. Luckily, no one has arrived except Mr. Davis. On seeing her badge into his office, he scolds “I thought I told you never to come here uninvited. Have you forgotten witches and vampires aren't allowed to have anything to do with each other?"

“I'm sorry. It's urgent" Grandma Felicia said still panting

“Can't you call?"

“I didn't think that" Grandma Felicia pauses and she catches her breathe “I'll tell" she continues “you. She's missing" she concludes

“So?"

“I can't use my powers to see where she is"

“That shouldn't be a problem"

“Oh that's a problem"

“How?"

“What if she's planning something against us? What if she's coming after us now. No, I can't take that risk. Do something"

“Stop panicking, woman. We have to leave here first, I don't want anyone to see you" Mr. Davis said leading her out of his office. Mr. Davis got a towel from his toilet for Grandma Felicia to cover her face like a hood because staff had started coming into the company's premises to their various offices and department.

Mr. Davis's partner, Mr. Blackwell spotted them and approached them. “Good day, Mr. Davis," he said Grandma Felicia's heartbeat was as fast as a cheetah at that time and she couldn't cast a spell on herself to make her disappear but it will seem obvious to Blackwell.

“Yes, Mr. Blackwell good day," Mr. Davis said with a c***k in his voice. “Are you okay? You seem..."

“I'm okay," Mr. Davis said interrupting Mr. Blackwell

“Okay, I guess. Who's this?" Mr. Blackwell asked scanning Grandma Felicia

“A friend of mine"

“Why's she covering her face?"

“Where she's from, her culture forbids her from showing her face to people"

“I see. Hello. I'm Mr. Blackwell" Mr. Blackwell said as he waves to Grandma Felicia but she didn't respond “I guess, she's shy," Mr. Blackwell said after waiting for some minutes without a reply. “I'll be in my office if you need me," He said as he walks towards the reception office. As he walked past them, he looked confused and before he entered the reception office he turned around to look at them but sees no one. He smiles “A friend indeed. I know you Davis always want to enjoy yourself. So using a towel is part of her culture to cover her face? (smiles) but why does he want to hide it from me? (shrugs) his reasons I guess" Mr. Blackwell thoughts as he walks to his office

At a cafe, three miles away from Mr. Davis's company, Mr. Davis stares at grandma Felicia who's still covering her face with the towel as instructed by Mr. Davis with a killer look. “Can I remove this now? (tugging at the towel) it stinks. I'm sure there are no vampires here except you though" Grandma Felicia said

Once the towel was removed, Grandma Felicia said “Oh thank goodness. How long has it stayed (pointing at the towel on the table) without being washed?

Mr. David didn't say anything but kept on staring at her with killer eyes. “What?" Grandma Felicia asked. Mr. Davis doesn't respond but keeps staring at her. “Will you talk and stop staring at me like that?" Grandma Felicia said almost angry. Mr. Davis takes Grandma Felicia to the cafe's bathroom.

In the bathroom, Mr. Davis strangles Grandma Felicia immediately after the door was locked. Grandma Felicia's skin turned blue. She was able to cast a spell that made Mr. Davis fly backward he hit his back on the toilet mirror. Mr. Davis's eyes turned red and he tried attacking Grandma Felicia again. Grandma Felicia cast another spell which made Mr. Davis blind for a minute as she finds somewhere to hide. She entered one of the bathrooms but due to her racing heartbeat, Mr. Davis found her once he got his sight due to good hearing sense of vampires.

Mr. Davis with his vampire speed moves and grabs Grandma Felicia by the neck strangling her with more effort than before but before Grandma Felicia could lose consciousness Mr. Davis let go of her and Grandma Felicia landed on the floor with her buttocks and she moans in pain. She sits on the floor for a while regaining our strength as her skin goes back to normal. Mr. Davis kneels on one knee examining the marks on Grandma Felicia's neck.

“I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me" Mr. Davis said as he stands and didn't make eye contact with Grandma Felicia. After some minutes, Grandma Felicia stands “I guess you were controlled"

“By who?"

“Mia of course"

Mr. Davis looks at Grandma Felicia and laughs “Mia? Don't be a silly woman. She doesn't know how to use her powers"

“Doesn't mean she cannot learn how to use them. I know she's..."

“Can you keep quiet?" Mr. Davis interrupted “I know what I felt that was not her controlling me" Mr. Davis concluded squinting his eyes

“Then who?"

“I'm not sure but I think it's... the dark sorcerer"

“(smiles mockingly) now who's acting stupid? You"

Mr. Davis glares at Grandma Felicia. “Has she possess you again?" Grandma Felicia said sarcastically Mr. Davis lifted his hand to strangle Grandma Felicia but stops halfway.

“Don't make me intentionally harm you" Mr. Davis said

“Okay but she's dead. The dark sorcerer's dead"

“She's not dead"

“How sure are you?"

“Very sure"

“That's not possible and if she's not dead and you feel her... have you ever tested her blood?"

“More than that"

“You mean..."

“Yes"

Grandma Felicia shading tears. “Why? Why did you do that to me?" she said

Mr. Davis surprised, asked “What? What did I do to you?"

Grandma Felicia immediately wipes her tears and says “Nothing. I guess she hypnotized me"

“Hmm. I guess so but what did I do to her?" Mr. Davis asked

“I don't know. I wasn't there" Grandma Felicia said and stormed out of the bathroom. Mr. Davis was surprised and had a feeling that Grandma Felicia was not hypnotized “Then if she wasn't hypnotized what then did I do to her?" Mr. Davis thought as he too exited the bathroom.

In Mr. Davis's car, Grandma Felicia and Mr. Davis were both silent, each in their thought until Grandma Felicia broke the silence. “Let's go see her," she asked

“Who?" Mr. Davis asked still watching the road.

“The dark sorcerer"

“Why?"

“Because I want to and she might help us"

“In what way?"

“She can help find Mia and know her location"

“I don't think that's necessary"

“It's necessary. I want us to go see her and we must" Grandma Felicia said screaming. Mr. Davis stops the car at the side of the road. “Did you just scream at me?" he said

“Why did you stop the car?" Grandma Felicia asked

“That's not the answer to my question"

“And that's not also the answer to my question," Grandma Felicia said folding her arms and looking ahead.

Mr. Davis couldn't resist and held Grandma Felicia on her neck but didn't strangle her. There were lots of passersby but they couldn't see what was going on inside the car as the glasses were tinted. “You love my neck, huh?" Grandma Felicia said with a seductive look. Mr. Davis let go of her neck and said “Fine. We'll go but I don't want to speak while we're there"

“Why?"

“Cause I don't want you to"

“I'll speak where and when I want to," Grandma Felicia said

“Okay then (starts the car) you go to your house"

“Fine, I won't talk," Grandma Felicia said frowning

At Mia's house, Amanda kept on behaving like a madwoman but Oscar just sat on the couch staring at the floor. Amanda was still searching the house and spotted Oscar lost. She stopped what she was doing and walks to him. “Oscar" Amanda called with a cracked voice due to her crying for hours. Oscar didn't respond. She snapped and he came back to reality. “Sorry," he said

“For?" Amanda asked

“I... Will, I..." Oscar stammered. Amanda smiled and that made Oscar feel embarrassed and stared at the floor. Amanda sat beside him and places a hand on his shoulder “Dear, you don't need to feel embarrassed. Mia sometimes murmurs when you call. Do you know what she says?"

“No," Oscar said still staring on the floor. Amanda stands and tries mimicking Mia. “Ahh!! Why is he calling? Let me guess to stammer again. That's what she said and did on her first day of school"

“Oh," Oscar said looking forlorn

“I didn't mean to upset you"

“I'm not upset"

“Your expression says you are. Listen, I didn't do that because I wanted to upset you. I did it because when I always see her do that I think she's being mean because the last time you came here you spoke fluently so seeing you do is funny"

“So I guess you... you see me as a..."

“No, you just get nervous a lot" Amanda interrupted

“I guess so but I wish she could understand"

“She understands, dear. She just does not want to show it"

“Really? But I don't think so"

“I know so. Mia's a little hard on herself. I've tried all I could to lighten her up but I fall all the time but I think you can change her" Oscar finally looks at Amanda “How?" he asked

“I don't know how but I know you would" Oscar stands up “I don't know about that though. Ever since our date things between us have been rough. Yes, she says I've been forgiven but I can't help but feel she hasn't," he says

“Why do you think that?" Amanda asked

“I thought the date will make her love me or feel something for me but it didn't. I just feel she's distant from me"

“Child, don't think that. What if I told you, she likes you"

“Really?" Oscar said with a smile of hope

“Don't get too hyped up. I just think she is as she says your name sometimes before going to bed and smiles too"

“That's a good sign"

“Yeah, so be happy. And don't mind her frowny face" Amanda said with a funny voice that made Oscar smile but at the thought of Mia being missing, he frowns “What's wrong? I thought you'd cheered up" Amanda said

“Mia. She's still missing" Oscar said

“(Exhales) Yeah, I overreacted though. Yes, I haven't found her but I'm not feeling anything strange"

“So if you feel something strange it means she's in danger?"

“Yes. I always feel strange, a sting on my heart whenever she's in trouble. She'll come back. I hope"

“She will. I must believe and I believe that. Let me help you clean up"

“No. I'll handle it. Go home and rest. I'll take care of the cleaning"

“Sure?"

“Yes," Oscar leaves and goes to his safe place in the forest under the huge tree, and falls asleep.

Mr. Davis and Grandma Felicia are at the outskirt of the city. They go round a mountain and once they were behind the mountain the sky was dark. “I guess this is the place"

“Yes and no," Mr. Davis said

“Meaning?"

“She stays around here but not here"

“Oh okay"

They got to a cottage and Mr. Davis stopped. “This is the place," Mr. Davis said as he parks the car and climbs down of the car, and walks into the cottage. Grandma Felicia noticing he's not waiting for her hurriedly joins him in the cottage.

The cottage is made of wood. It looks scary but inviting. Though deserted but tidy and with every step they make there's an echo. “Come out!!!" Mr. Davis commanded in a harsh tone. A hearth is on the right of the cottage on entry. Close to the hearth, there's a huge pot. Grandma Felicia walks closer to it to examine what's inside but nothing was inside. “I swear. I felt a movement in here" she thought. She scans the cottage for any sign of life but the cottage didn't seem to have any.

Mr. Davis commanded again “Come out!!!" with his voice louder than before but no response. Grandma Felicia thought that Mr. Davis might have tricked her. She claps surprising Mr. Davis, thinking that was the way Grandma Felicia wanted to lure the dark sorcerer out from hiding he claps too. “Good job, master planner. Do you think I'm that foolish? I know she doesn't stay here" Mr. Davis doesn't reply but it's fuming with anger inside. “Yes, don't answer, I can't believe you. You slept with that fool and now you bring me here saying, this is her place. Oh maybe this is the place you slept with her" Grandma Felicia said

Mr. Davis couldn't take it anymore, held her by the neck, and flung her to the hearth. Once she landed there, the fire was lit up.

With that Mr. Davis hurriedly gets her out of the hearth to the couch. He was still tending to her when the dark sorcerer walked in and said “You'll lucky" surprisingly both Mr. Davis and Grandma Felicia. Grandma Felicia's heart dropped when she heard the dark sorcerer's voice. The dark sorcerer walked to where Grandma Felicia's laying and holds her chin, pressing it tightly, and Grandma Felicia winced in pain.“So this is the fool calling me a fool" the dark sorcerer said.

The dark sorcerer tortured Grandma Felicia. The dark sorcerer brought out a snake from the huge pot and placed it on Grandma Felicia. Though the snake has been made non-poisonous by the dark sorcerer the bite from it made Grandma Felicia bleed. The snake also bit the injuries on her body and the pain she felt was much. Mr. Davis didn't say nor do anything but watch the scene before him. After much torture, the dark sorcerer decided to make the snake poisonous again and cast a spell on it. The dark sorcerer guided the snake to Grandma Felicia's heart but before the snake could bite Mr. Davis grabbed it and threw it back into the pot.

Grandma Felicia couldn't move throughout that because the dark sorcerer chained her up with a spell. “Why did you do that?" the dark sorcerer asked but Mr. Davis didn't say anything. “I'm not her (points at Grandma Felicia). Answer me"

“Jennifer, I don't wish to debate on that"

“Did you just... fine"

“Good"

Grandma Felicia's still laying on the couch watching their movements. Jennifer, the dark sorcerer seductively walks to Mr. Davis but before she could progress, Mr. Davis walks towards the dining part of the cottage. Jennifer still walked towards him but not seductively.

“What was that about?" she asked

“Nothing" Mr. Davis replied

“You can't tell me nothing. I know you very well"

“You don't and why did you do that to her?"

“She deserved it"

“How? I'm sure she didn't do anything to you"

“Really? Don't act dumb" she pauses "You left me" she continues "for her. She hasn't done anything for you but I have. I saved you when you were almost killed. I killed your uncle, Mia's father. I empowered you so you can manipulate Alex to letting go of the rope that led to Queen Mia's death. It's because of you, I am here remember. I killed Queen Eliza and I was caught and banished. The best reward you could give me is to go around with fools. Her plans never work and will work and is not working" she concluded

“At least she hasn't lured me to bed as you did"

“And you think she wouldn't do the same? She's just waiting for the perfect time"

“That was a p*****t for all my help," Jennifer said touching Mr. Davis seductively. Mr. Davis removes her hand, steps back, and says “Then why not let me be"

Jennifer laughs which echoes in the cottage. Grandma Felicia who watches their lips tries to read them.

She still couldn't move. Her whole body was covered in blood. After Jennifer was done laughing which felt like a decade to Mr. Davis. She said “Didn't I tell you I love you. Well, I'm telling you now I love you and that fool loves you too" Mr. Davis turns to face Jennifer with questions in his eyes. “Yes, she's in love with you (smirks) she even wanted to kill me but I was hundred times ahead of her," she said and turns to Grandma Felicia, and Grandma Felicia looked away. Jennifer laughs again

“She always loved you" Jennifer pauses "While you two were walking together to stop Mia and Alex, she fell in love but she made a mistake" she concludes

“Do you know I'm married?"

“Yes and I also know that you came here on the second day of your marriage to have me again"

Mr. Davis tried grabbing Jennifer's neck but was stopped by her with the wave of her hand. She controlled his hand and put it on his neck. Mr. Davis looked perplexed. Jennifer said “You like necks" laughs then drops his hand and Mr. Davis went back to normal.

Jennifer puts her hands around his arms and took him deep into the cottage. “Where are you taking me to?" Mr. Davis asked

“Somewhere" Jennifer replied as they go deeper into the cottage. Grandma Felicia looked scared once they were out of sight.
