One More Question

655 Words

The moment Heath walked into the room, Chelsea didn’t care about anything else—not her mother who was gasping and lost. Not her father who needed a moment to put the pieces together. Are you okay?” “I am now,” she said. “I’m so glad you’re here.” “Heath!” Karen said. “I… don’t know what to say. I wish we would’ve known.” “We didn’t think you’d be happy for us,” he said with a shrug and then turned and looked at Mike. “We knew Mike would be mad.” “I was at first,” Mike said, running his hand through his hair and taking a few moment before he said, “but it’s clear you and Chelsea are in love. I’m just glad my nephew has two good parents to take care of him.”
