Lillyn opened her eyes. Again she was in the pack hospital. She saw the familiar white walls and the sterile room. She felt a weight on her hand and looked to her left. Koda was in a hospital bed next to her hooked up to machines like she was, but they were holding hands. She had ahold of Koda's hand, as her life or his depended on it. No one else was in the room. She stared at him and concentrated on Koda's aura. It was still bright and she sighed with relief.
"Koda," she whispered.
He didn't move. His breath stayed even, his heartbeat was steady.
