It’s been two weeks of avoiding her at all costs. It’s been 2 weeks of dodging and lying about my schedule and avoiding the hospital and all the places her and Jay would go to. It’s been two weeks with no conversation except from the normal what do you need from the store. And needless to say, with every day that she isn’t in my life, a part of me is slowly disappearing.
“Dude, this rain is crazy and came out of nowhere.” I groaned on the phone with Chris, driving home in the torrential downpour. The storm was supposed to go east, but instead turned west, sending the outside of a tropical storm our way.
