JUNIPER I felt like I was walking on air as Asher walked me back to my dorm. I hadn’t laughed and smiled that much in a single day in a really long time. My cheeks ached from overusing the muscles, but I didn’t care. It felt like the date was ending much too soon. When we reached my door, neither of us made a move to separate. “I had a wonderful time tonight,” I said. “I’m glad.” He lifted my hand up, keeping his fingers intertwined with mine, and kissed the back of it. “I’m not ready for it to end.” “Me neither,” I admitted.
