I was a complete i***t. I let Nathan’s words get to me, and I became insecure that Juniper was pulling away. I was so desperate for her to let me in that I ended up pushing her away. When I saw her eyes glistening, knowing I was the one to cause her tears, I felt like my chest was being ripped apart. I was supposed to be there for her, but instead, I was a complete ass.
I wanted to stop her from walking away, but I didn’t feel like I had the right to. I was the reason she was on the verge of tears, and if she wanted to leave, then I had to let her.
I needed to apologize and make it up to her. I could buy her flowers or chocolates, but something told me that wouldn’t be enough of an apology.
