His regret

1092 Words
Alejandro felt guilty. he never meant to hurt his classmate he was just too angry, he kept his head down the entire way home as the driver drove him back home, he dreaded facing his father because the school had already informed him about the incident that took place today. The King was waiting for his son to approach him sitting on the couch staring at Alejandro patiently. Alejandro walked towards his father slowly, he climbed the couch and sat on his father's lap, not facing him. "look at me, my child" he pulled his son closer to see his tearful face, he wiped his face clean and waited for his version of the accident "Papa, I didn't mean for it to happen, he spoke about mama," Alejandro hiccups rubbing his leaking eyes, his father sighed trying to understand his misery. "but that's not how you solve things, Alejandro, violence is never an answer." Alejandro looked down shamefully. "the principal is not happy with what happened today, " "Will they punish me, Papa?" he asked innocently his father didn't have the heart to tell him that he was rusticated, so he said this instead "No, my child nobody will ever hurt you, you will study somewhere else, for the time being, you are a special kid Alejandro, you need to control your powers and there is only one place that can happen," he said running his fingers in his soft hair "it is somewhere scary, Papa?" he asked innocently twiddling with his fingers. "Not scary, it's a sanctuary, you will train there and live with him for a few years, and when you are. I will bring you back," he assured his son, smiling encouragingly. Alejandro nodded his little head, trying to understand the seriousness of the situation, maybe it's for the best. maybe if he can control his anger he can finally make some friends and people who hate him so much. "it's done then, you will leave tomorrow to go live with your great grandfather, he lives in the mountains, he is the one who taught two generations of Alpha, you will be fine," he patted his son's back and put him down going back to work. Alejandro walked back to his room looking at the bed of the small car, the wallpaper filled with space, stars, and buzz lighter. everything was too perfect to be true, he then walked to his mother, room and laid on her bed holding her blanket, her fragrance, and her warmth was still present after so many years. he snuggles deeper into the blanket and spoke to his mother in a small voice hoping she could hear her "mommy, I know you can hear me, I want to let you know that I'm not a bad kid, I didn't mean to hurt him or the maid, I didn't even know when or how I hurt her. all I remember is waking up to see blood all over me and her body going cold but I know it's not an excuse. I shouldn't have hurt that boy too but he was being mean mommy, he told me I'm the reason you are not here anymore, and I don't know how to take that. is it true? did I hurt you, mommy? the same way I hurt the maid? I don't know how to understand this. Paps is sending me away to live with my great grandfather, he said he can help me control my powers, and maybe then I can be a better person. maybe just maybe, everyone will love me too, " he mumbled into the blanket, cocooning himself with its warmth. He didn't sense his father watching the whole thing with tears filling his eyes, he prayed to the moon goddess to give him the strength to do the right thing, he knew what he was about to do was just too much for his little boy but he had no choice if the incidents kept piling up his would-be deemed to be a true monster, something he didn't want to happen to his only child. He knew he had to do this even if it broke his heart and shattered his soul, this needs to be done. his grandfather was not the nicest person in the world but he is the only person old enough to know what and why his son possesses this kind of power and rage. He let his son sleep in his mother's nest and walked away preparing for what was to come tomorrow. Alejandro woke up late at night, the moon was at its highest peak, he rubbed his sleepy eyes, and realized he had once again slept in his mother's room. he went back to his room trying not to remember last night's accident which reminds him of the boy he hurt today, guilt seeping out of his pores, he decided to apologize to him before he left for who knows how long. He decided to write an apology letter " I'm sorry for hurting you, it was not my intention, I hope you forgive me. I'm leaving today and I don't know when I will back so keep this as a token of my apology " and signed it with his name and then he put the marble stone he found one-day wondering around the river near his mansion, this stone was one of a kind and it took him a lot of time to find it. He thought if he gave him his most prized possession maybe he forgives him and be his friend after coming back. He knew a lot of tricks of how to sneak out of the mansion without being caught. he was very fast for a kid his age so he ran without alerting the patrols and crossed the border of the silver moon pack, he used his senses to track the boy's house and found it at the edge of the border, he climbed the window of the first room on the left that had his scent the strongest. he saw the boy sleeping peacefully, his chest was wrapped with bandages which sparked the feeling of guilt in Alejandro's heart, slowly and carefully he places the small box with his letter on it next to the boy on his bedside table and with the last look at the boy, he ran back to his house and waited for the next phase of his life to begin and it did, for something he did not expect, something he was not ready for.
