Chapter 9 -
Niklaus Jacobs
POV
It is passed ten in the morning when my car stops in front of the office building. I just finished a meeting with one of my top collaborators. I do not normally come in this way, but the driver has to leave to take Zarah to the airport, so I get out and I'm surrounded by the media...
"Mr Jacobs is it true that you married?" one of the reporters asks
"Mr Jacobs when you get married?" I am bombarded with questions
I pause in my steps. Hold on a second, how did they know I am married I have not released a statement yet. I could not help but frown. Zelina did not want me to release it to the world, yet it has been posted all over the internet. It did not even take two whole days for them to find out.
"Where did you hear I'm married?" I ask
"From a source... Is it true Mr Jacobs?"
Instead of getting mad, I shrug it off, it saves me time and effort of having my team release a statement.
So, I do what any great businessman would do. I nod "Yes I am married"
Everyone is stunned.
"Mr Jacobs where is your wife now?" one asks
"Out of town. Next question" I tell them
"Mr Jacobs when will she be back?" he asks
"Not sure. One last question Make it count."
there is silence for a couple of seconds I was about to leave then I hear a familiar voice. "Mr Jacobs do you love your wife?"
I look to where the voice came from, yip that is my wife... She has games I squint at her trying my best to keep my arrogant and composed look, and it is taking all the strength in me not to go and hug her. She looks amazing She's got a beige high waisted skinny pants on, with a pink top that woman would call blush pink I have no idea why though and a pair of pink heels one of those with the red soles because that is important, they say.
"Yes, I do miss?" I ask
"Miss Gold" she says
"I see. That was the last question." And I walk into the building I can feel Zee walking behind me. I hear the reception ask
"Good morning Miss how can I help you?"
"Hi, I'm a translator I'm here for a meeting with Mr Stone and Mr Jacobs" Zelina says
I turn around because I know what is going on I approach the desk
"I'm sorry miss Gold but I don't have a meeting with Mr Stone, he's a model I don't deal with Modelling agencies and I'm fluent in multiple languages I don't need a translator." I tell her… if she had just called me, I would have told her this.
"I see... I hope I will still get paid for this I took a cab from CoLab to get here" she says sassily
"You work for you CoLab? Then why are you here?" I mock a confused face. we both know this is all Alexis’s doing. She had this all planned.
"Ms Jacobs plans to join the meeting that's what I've been told" she says
Now I am seeing clearly why Alexis had this all set up. Alexis is using company resources for her own benefit. Alexis has a crush on Mason since we have been in middle school. She is too afraid that her feelings are one sided and she will not let anyone know and now she is using Zelina and me to see him...
Mason Stone is my best friend he works for my aunt as a Model and Actor... An amazing guy my best friend and I know he has feelings for my sister but its none of my business and I do not want to interfere in their business.
I nod. "I see. Miss Gold come up with me" I start walking and she follows me to my private elevator.
As soon as the doors close, I grab her into my arms and start kissing her and she responds by kissing me back... I get a bit carried away, I grab her ass, I love how not too big and not too small it fits perfectly in my hands damn this feels amazing it feels amazing her lips on mine... The elevator dings and brings us back to reality... We pull away from each other and straighten our clothes. The elevator opens and its weird if we not talking so I say the first thing that pops into my head
"Miss Gold when will my sister arrive? I do not have all day" I ask pulling my phone out of my slacks pocket, I check my emails.
just as I said that Alexis comes out of my office
"Niki calm down we were waiting for you" she smiles brightly
I send my sister an icy glare "Alexis how many times have I told you not to call me that?"
"Sorry Nick" she smiles
I hate when people call me niki or Klaus but when Zelina calls me Klaus, I do not hate it. Maybe it’s got something to do with how adorable yet sexy she says it... I am not 100% sure but I know my wife is my everything, and I will do anything for her... I love her I do not think she knows it yet... I lied to her when I said I looked for her after I took over the company, I looked for her when we got back to California that year, and I don't want her to know I saved her three years ago when her dead beat dad tried to tried to use her body to get a deal. I still have not paid him back for doing that. And knowing how Zelina feels about the Gold family I might do it soon.
"My man Nick what’s up" Mason says
I turn around I have not seen him in a while, and he looks different or for one his wearing a damn shirt and a suit pants. Different from his usual skinny jean and tight T-shirt look he likes...
"Hey Mas come let’s go in before Lex has a heart attack" I tease my sister
We walk into my office I let Zelina go in first then I go in. Then these two idiots stare at each other with hearts in their eyes. I do not understand how they do not see how the two of them do not know the other one loves them. Even Zelina who just met them senses their intimacy. This needs to stop either they love each other, or they do not this is just wrong...
"So, Mason this is my wife Zelina" I introduce Zelina to Mason so this weird moment between them would come to an end.
He turns and looks at Zelina he walks up to her takes her hand
"Hey sister-in-law" he gives her his best smile.
"Hi" Zelina gives him a shy smile.
"Okay why call a meeting? And always why did you use my wife so the two of you could meet?" I ask the two of them crossing my arms.
They look extremely flustered
"Th-that’s not why?" Alexis says
"Then why?" I ask narrowing my eyes on my sister. We have shared a womb, no one knows her better than I do. I know when she is lying to me, and right now she is lying
"I... Mason wanted to meet sister-in-law." Alexis says looking at Mason for help.
"You really going to throw me under the bus? You know I am a model, right? I use my body to make money..." Mason says to Alexis
Alexis twists her face up in disgust. "Gross Mason... It is disgusting the way you put it" she scolds him
"Oh, come on tell me I don't look good?" he smirks at her.
"You don't look good!" she shouts at him
"Okay that's enough Zee and I are leaving" I say before I pull Zelina out of my office, and I lead her to the boardroom which should be empty and has no cameras.
"Does Mason and Alexis like each other?" she asks as soon as we are in the board room.
"Yip..." I nod.
"Why are they not dating?" she asks
I shrug. "Don't know"
I really wanted to kiss her, but she is more interested in my sisters love life.
"You don't really care?" she asks softly
"Remember when I said I don't really get into my family's issues? I will only get involved it affects the company hers or mine... Whether they date or not is up to them and does not affect my life in any way.” I tell her
Zelina shakes her head. "You should help them"
It is my turn to shake my head. "Nope" I say popping the p for dramatic effect.
I pull Zelina into my arms.
"Why not?" she frowns.
"Not my business" I tell her
She pouts. "Do it for me..."
I sigh. "Fine..."
"Really?" she asks in surprise.
I nod. "Yes... But then you owe me one"
"One what?" she frowns
"I'll let you know once I decide. But I am warning you it might be a bit dirty" I wink at her
"..." she stares at me mouth agape.
After a half and I order the driver to drive her back to work and I have a bunch of documents to go through and I have about five meetings to attend Thanks to Alexis I was distracted and missed two hours of work. Now I am working overtime and when I got home at twelve the next morning Zee was fast asleep... I go to the bathroom take a shower, get a pair of boxers from the closet. Then go and lay next to my wife on the bed, she is laying on her stomach her face is facing me, her hair is in her face. I push her hair behind her head I see there is a band on the bed, I pick it up try my utmost best to tie her hair up. How the hell is this supposed to work I give up after 10 tries... Then I realise there's thing called YouTube; I search how to tie a girl’s hair. the first video is a guy tying his kid’s hair, what the hell lets go for it. The dude is putting that band thing on a vacuum nozzle (What fresh hell is this?) it sucks her hair then he turns it off pushes this band thingy off. Oh okay... Well, I do not even know if we have a vacuum in the villa second that would wake her up. Next video the little girl is sitting on a chair holds her hair she spins in the chair and some sort of bun thing is formed. Okay for one she is laying two spinning her will wake her. I text Lex
{NICK - Hey sis how do I tie hair?}
5 minutes later she replies
{Lex - You freaken woke me up for this?}
{NICK- Come on Alex, I will give you the Jackson Case?}
{Lex - Fine... She a wake or sleeping?}
{NICK - Sleeping her hair keeps going in her face as she sleeps}
{Lex - Oh okay... So romantic... I did not think you had a romantic bone in you}
{NICK - ALEXIS GRACE JACOBS}
{Lex - That is my name}
{NICK - Come on, do not you want to go back to sleep}
{Lex - Okay... Do you have an elastic band?}
{NICK – YeAh}
{Lex - Okay first try twisting it twice in your hands...Then once you perfect that, then attempt doing it on her hair. Or just go to sleep since it is not bothering her leave her hair loose, what if you make a band line in her hair and she gets upset}
{NICK - What's a band line?}
{You hopeless I am going to sleep do not text me back or I will block your number}
I am a CEO of a multi-billion-dollar company. I make money in seconds, and I cannot freaken tie my wife's hair how the damn hell do woman do this every day. I barely wash my hair every day. I put my phone down. And pull Zelina into my embrace her falls in my face I push it away... I gradually get rid of my frustration and fall asleep
