Queen of all Werewolves

Chapter Three - Eavesdropping

Third POV

While Ash was bathing the twins, Brandon made his way to the nursery room to be with his twins. The door was open and he made his way inside, spotting Esmeralda holding both twins in her arms.

"Hey. How are my boys," asked Brandon while making his way towards Esmeralda?

"The boys are wonderful. They are sleeping. Help me to put them in their crib," asked Esmeralda who was ready to get up and have dinner. 

"Sure," said Brandon. Brandon picked up baby Jr and put him first in his bed. Then Esmeralda gently got up from the rocking chair and put baby Derek right next to baby Jr. Both fast asleep, Brandon and Esmeralda made their way out of the nursery room.

"Thank you, Babe. So, I heard all the screams. Did you manage to help Melissa and Nathaniel to escape," asked Esmeralda who had a huge smile on her face?

"Just the opposite. I took them to the bathtub," responded Brandon who later laugh with Esmeralda. Esmeralda was laughing so much and both walked together downstairs for dinner with the rest of the pack members. Once they arrived,  they realize that Ash was not at the dinner table.

"Hmm, I bet Ash is having a hard time to put the twins to sleep," said Esmeralda who thought that was the case of Ash's absence. 

"Nah, I think he is giving them a bedtime story," said Brandon.

"Oh, I am sure the twins love bedtime stories, they can’t get enough of it, and I wonder what bedtime story he is telling," said Esmeralda sounding curious.

"Let’s go find out," said Brandon who wanted to eavesdrop on Ash and the twins.

"But what about dinner," asked Esmeralda who was feeling really hungry?

"Dinner can wait. Come on, let’s just stand by the door outside and listen in," said Brandon who started to make his way back upstairs.

"Ok, let’s go," said Esmeralda. Both Brandon and Esmeralda made their way to the twin’s room. Once they arrived, they both sat next to the door and eavesdrop on the conversation inside.

"Continue with the story," said Melissa.

"Ok, The Moon Goddess saw that the packs are getting out of control, so she has created a new daughter, and made her The Queen of all Werewolves to rule and protect her werewolves. Selene made her powerful, and nothing can stop her from protecting her kingdom. Then the Moon Goddess created two mates for the Queen. She made them the Protector of their Queen and Warrior of all werewolves’ and also known as Kings. They are here to protect their Queen and fight for their werewolves’ in battle," said Ash.

"Oh wow. Is that you, dad? Are you a warrior," asked Nathaniel?

Brandon and Esmeralda continued to listen…

"Yes, son. Let me finish. The Queen and Kings are here to protect their werewolves and keep every supernatural living thing under control. Now, time to sleep. It’s already late," said Ash.

"Goodnight, dad. I love you," said Melissa.

"Wait, you didn’t answer my question, dad," said Nathaniel.

"Goodnight my kids. I love you, both. And Nathaniel, I am that warrior, answered Ash. At that moment, Esmeralda opened the door and walked in, leaving Brandon outside.

"Hey, I'm just stopping by to say goodnight, loves," said Esmeralda. Melissa and Nathaniel bid goodnight to their mom and off they went to bed and Ash turns off the light and closed the door.

"Well, how did it go," asked Brandon? Esmeralda, Ash, and Brandon made their way to the kitchen to continue with their conversation.

"Well, I was telling them about the Moon Goddess but you already know this because you guys were eavesdropping. Notty, Notty. Hmm, how to punish you guys," asked Ash?

"You can punish Esme but not me. It was her idea," said Brandon who was currently lying.

"Brandon, that is a lie. You will pay for this," said Esmeralda. She says this with an evil smirk at the end of her statement and looks dead serious staring into Brandon’s eyes.

"Watch out, the lion is coming out of her den," said Brandon who began to laugh out loud.

"I wonder what she has plans for you, buddy," said Ash. Once they made it to the kitchen, they all notice that the whole pack was waiting for the Queen and Kings' arrival to start eating. As soon as the Queen and Kings sat down, everyone started to serve themselves.
