Chapter 17 Twelve Days Post-Curse Jacque stumbled as she and the others climbed a considerably steep hill. Fane wrapped an arm around her waist, catching her before she face-planted into the snow. "Thank goodness for wolf reflexes," she murmured. Fane winked at her and gave her a quick peck on the cheek. "I'll always catch you, Jacquelyn." He released her and they continued up the hill, following Elle, with Alina, Sorin, and Vasile pulling up the rear. "At the risk of sounding very much like a five-year-old, are we there yet?"
