Chapter Twenty

Casen

“We need to work out getting our belongings from my dad’s estate.” “I need my car so I’m going.” “No, I’ll go and drive your car. I’m trained to fight and I’m the only other person here who can drive cars with the driver’s seat on the right side.” Orien said.

“Who else is going? We need to keep it to a minimum. I’m going. It’s my dad’s estate.” “We’re going to need to shop for food. Do you have any large enough cars here Tana can drive? We can go get groceries.” “Yeah, my dad has a couple of SUVs you can choose from. The keys are in the lock box. I’ll unlock it for you before we go.” Robyn nodded.

We discussed who was going where. Kalina and Lyrai are going with Robyn and Tana. Michael and Adrian are coming with us. Collin, Drew, and Rhistal are staying here with Chase. I pulled Tana to the side while Robyn assessed the kitchen really quickly. I caressed her face and ran my hand into her hair. I kissed her.

She leaned away from me. “I command that anything your father or brother may try and command you to be negated by my authority as the queen of dragons. You follow only my commands.” Tana commanded me. I kissed her deeply. I hadn’t thought of that. I may follow Tana, but my dad could still try to use his rule as king over this territory to command me.

Robyn chose the SUV that she felt would suit their trip. Orien got Tana the keys. We agreed to be back in two hours if we needed more time, we needed to let Collin know. We changed fast and flew back. It took no time to get there. We landed fast and changed into our human forms. We raced for our rooms.

I grabbed bags and Orien started to help me throw our clothes into the bags. He would try to straighten them out, but I didn’t care if they got wrinkled. I want out of here as fast as possible. Tana didn’t have much, so her belongings were packed fast and back into the box my dad had her things packed in.

I mostly have clothes and shoes and a few electronics. I let Orien pack my gaming console and games because he was being gentler than I am. We had things packed fast. Orien decided to discreetly take our belongings to Tana’s car. I checked my rooms thoroughly once more to make sure nothing was left behind.

I moved across the hall to Adrian’s room. He had a little more to pack due to Chase. I started packing their clothes as fast as I could. Adrian focused on Chase’s belongings. “I had been meaning to ask you how you marked Robyn.” I broke the silence. “I had to bring my dragon to the surface in my human form. It took a little while to get to that point. The first time I marked her in the first timeline, I hurt her while she was pregnant. Well, my dragon did.”

“How did he hurt her?” “You will want to initiate having s*x with Tana. For Robyn, her body was healing Chase constantly that she was weakened. She also had other factors with the dark fae that drained her. She was exhausting herself but once she was marked it helped some in that lifetime.” I looked at him.

“My dragon was a little too excited and aggressive in his love making he gripped her too hard, causing some bruising to her near her womb especially. I suspect that because Tana is a dragon, she may be able to take more aggressive activities, but you should be mindful nonetheless.” “My dragon just bites her neck?” “He can mark her wherever he chooses, but he’ll know what to do don’t worry.” I nodded.

“She may need to work at bringing her dragon forward too to mark you, however I’m not sure if she’ll need to or not. You can let the part of your soul that is Comet mark her too. It will strengthen the bond.”

Orien checked on us and grabbed more items that we had packed. Adrian finished the last bit, and he helped Orien carry the bags to Tana’s car. I moved to help Michael. He had Collin’s and his bags resting inside Kalina and Drew’s room packed. I checked Lyrai and Rhistal’s room quickly, but there was nothing there. I looked into Sen’s room too, and nothing again.

I moved back to grab bags from Kalina and Drew’s room. I raced to Tana’s car. I used side halls to avoid running into my brother or dad. Michael followed me. We had everything packed in Tana’s car and Orien took off, heading back to his place. We moved back to the woods to change into our dragons. It took us only a little over an hour to get everything.

It took very little time to get back to Orien’s. We went inside. Adrian had paused and took off up the stairs and down to the section of the estate that Tana and I stayed in after she changed that first time. I realized what was happening. Collin and Drew were removing the cloth coverings from the furniture.

“We’re going to have a full house by tomorrow night. Your dad called when you were gone. They are packing as we speak. Your grandfather is waiting for the invitation, but he will be on his way soon after that.” Collin informed Adrian. “Where’s Rhistal?” I asked. “He has gone to retrieve warriors from Ennorè. He will return as soon as he can.” Collin replied.

“What about your clan, Drew?” “They’re coming. Kalina was able to contact her warriors and they would be here by tonight. Sen, will be here soon too with Faylinn’s warriors,” Drew said. I don’t know why, but I was feeling better that Tana would be better protected.

We stopped preparing rooms when Robyn let us know they were close. We had cleared Tana’s car quickly when Orien arrived. I took the room Tana and I had for us. Everyone just claimed a room aside from Orien, of course.

They had the SUV filled to the brim. Shopping bags were being held by everyone except Tana, of course. Every available space had been used up. I wanted to deny the need for all of this food, but then I remembered how many people are here and arriving shortly. This will not be enough for long, but I am certain things will be worked out.

We missed training today, but now we can move about more freely here and we can talk freely. Robyn, even after all that shopping, was able to make dinner as she directed us on putting things away. She is an excellent cook. She made plenty of food to fill all of us, especially where most of us hadn’t eaten lunch. She even set food aside for her warriors and the warriors from Sereia.

Tana helped Robyn clean in the kitchen after we ate. I had thought she had gone to our room, but I found her in the kitchen washing dishes while Robyn wiped down the surfaces. They didn’t hear me come in. Robyn was listening to music loud enough and Tana was swaying her hips with the beat of the music.

“They make quite a pair, don’t they?” Adrian asked low. I was lost in watching them. He startled me. “Is it weird that I find it odd that two of the most powerful females on Earth are cleaning up after us? I mean Tana used to clean for my father, but now it just seems odd and strangely normal.”

“Robyn loves cooking. It is her personal happy place. She has a very nurturing soul. She also doesn’t ask others to do anything she isn’t willing to do, especially when fighting.” “You and Chase are my happy place too,” Robyn commented. Adrian smiled at me, and I cracked a grin. “How long have you known we were here?” “Since you walked in.” She replied. We chuckled and it got Tana’s attention. “Go, I can finish this. It has been a long day and I need to wait for my warriors anyway.”

Tana dried her hands, and we walked back to our room. I grasped her hand to entwine our fingers. I closed the door behind us and locked it. I turned to her and pressed her against the wall. She looked into my eyes. “I love you.” “I love you, Casen.” I leaned in and gently kissed her. “Casen.” “Yeah.” I said against her mouth. “I want to take a bath. Would you like to join me?” I groaned. She grinned. “I’ll take that as a yes.” She slipped from my hold and went towards the bathroom. The tub looks like it should fit us just barely.

She started the water, and I got a couple of towels for us. She started to remove her clothes. I stripped my clothes fast. She giggled. The tub is styled similar to the old clawfoot tubs. The water was half full and I decided to climb in. She climbed in and sat opposite of me. She smiled. I shut the water off since the faucet was on the side of the tub.

“What are you doing all the way over there?” I asked. “Watching you.” I leaned forward and hooked her under her arms, pulling her towards me. “It’s been a crazy day. I need you.” She leaned forward to kiss me one kiss. “Then have me.” I didn’t wait and I pushed up into her body as she settled herself down onto me. She slipped her tongue in my mouth and I was a goner. I was lost in the sweet ecstasy that only Tana gives me.
