The next day, after our sports day, I was still smiling; Bob loved the day; he seemed to be able to stay awake longer, and he even managed to eat a little of the inside of a pie, his eyes shining bright. I was a little surprised he could recognize each baby; I thought it would take him longer; he seemed to have a bond with them already. The big surprise was when Bethany and Theo arrived with the quads; I am sure it made his day. All his children and grandchildren were all around him, watching sports. Nate was very attentive towards Bob, giving him ice and a spoon to feed him the pie filling. He seemed to get Bob to do more than I could, but then the triplets appeared to gain most of my attention; I did not mean to ignore him, and I hoped he did not feel like I was. This motherhood
