Scott POV The sports day went well. It was pleasant to hold the babies for a brief time and even better to see that Bob appeared to be on the mend. He was smiling and trying to join in the best he could, and his eyes lit up each time a baby was given to him to hold. You could tell he was more interested in the babies than the television, though he kept looking at the screen and seemed to follow the game. His croaky voice could be heard occasionally as we scored; all in all, it was a great day. I enjoyed having a chance to eat some more of Bethany's pies. I don't know how she does it; I have yet to taste any other pie like it. Bob said once it was a family recipe handed down by his mother. The good ole mother's recipes can't beat them or buy them in a shop. Pam left first, soon after Bob
