Dane strode up to Chloe’s hotel door and knocked. She opened the door wide and smiled. He reined in the urge to pick her up and take them right back to where they’d been last night, tangled up in each other’s arms. Her honey hair fell in tousled waves around her shoulders. “Can you take me to Shadow Rock?” she asked, skipping past any greeting.
He instantly wondered who she’d encountered today because only close friends knew of Shadow Rock, and if they were mentioning it to her, they were dropping some pretty obvious hints.
