We all sat on the furniture which was still pushed around the room. Dana sat on Nithe's Lap on the couch next to Kaida, who sat on mine. The two Al’s sat in the armchairs.
I was starting to get worried about Kaida. She had been unusually quiet and distant. She had blocked me out so I could not feel anything at all, and Bedelia seemed to be taking control too easily. I hoped what Alessia had to say wouldn’t push her over the edge.
She leaned back against my shoulder and I put my arms around her. Alessia got settled and, after looking around the room, she began her story.
