Drayce ran back with a backpack in his hands. All I could do was scream from the pain. I felt like my insides were boiling or melting or something.
Alvira put one hand on Drayce and one on me. It burned where her hand touched me. The world went black and then I found myself in the middle of a clearing surrounded by a forested area.
At first, I thought they had taken me to the dragon spot, but the trees were much bigger here and many were broken, the ground was all dug up and I could smell soot in the air.
