It broke my heart to see Tamia crying and my first instinct was to get the A-hole that had hurt her and make him pay.
I now realized why she was all battered and almost dead when I found her.
Those ass holes needed to pay. I would make them pay. That was a promise I made to myself.
She hated herself and it was understandable. I blamed them for it.
I would undo what they had done but there was no forgiveness for them.
What she didn't understand was that it wasn't her fault that she was violated. It was their fault.
And being violated sexually and abused didn't mean that she wasn't worth anything.

In fact, she was worth much more because it showed how strong she was.
She was able to take all that and come out victorious.
That called for respect.
