Chapter 10 It was Tuesday, and because I’d worked the last ten days straight, I actually had it off. It wasn’t that cold, and no snow had fallen, so I decided to take advantage of the nice day and run outdoors. By the time I got back, I’d sweated through my long-sleeved shirt. Brandon was lounging on the couch, his hair still damp from the shower. He’d been waiting for me, it seemed, because he tossed me an unopened bottle of water the instant I appeared. I gave him a grateful smile as I twisted off the cap and drank it down. But when I tried to convey my gratitude with a kiss, he shoved me away. “Ew. I’m all clean and you’re gross.
