Chapter 2 You Deserve!
How could she forget?
Today, she would still dream about what happened that year.
The Barton family went bankrupt. In order to save the Barton family, she accepted the request of Evan's competitor to break up with Evan. After learning that, Evan's mother came to talk to her in person, but she accidentally rolled down the stairs and died in front of her.
"Cara, you, don't break up with Evan..." she said, the blood in her mouth was flowing out. "Aunt is really worried... Evan, that little fool will misunderstand you... Unfortunately... Aunt, wait, can't wait, explain to him..."
"Promise aunt... No matter what happens... Don't... Don't leave Evan... OK?"
Evan's mother looked at her lovingly and pitifully. Before Cara replied, she held Cara's hand and fell powerlessly.
Not far away, Evan, who had just arrived at home, looked at all this unbelievably and roared...
Evan hated her for abandoning him and her mother dead because of her. She had no excuse. For the rest of her life, she just wanted to be with Evan.
When he saw Cara lowered her head and stopped talking. Evan sneered.
"Oh, I think you remember. So you deserve all this!"
He got rid of Cara, Evan took out his handkerchief and wiped his hands. He looked at her coldly and said:
"How dirty!"
Looking at his disdainful eyes, Cara's heart seemed to be pricked by needles.
She stood there and slowly closed her eyes. She didn't want Evan to see the tears in her eyes.
"Evan, although I didn't want what happened in those years, I can't get rid of it. I recognize that you hate me and blame me. But your mother will be very sad to see that you have been living in hatred."
Hearing this, Evan sneered, "do you want me to put down my hatred? Do you want to get rid of your sins?"
"I tell you, don't think about it!" he pinched Cara's chin and said. "You'll never want to wash the blood off your hands!"
"Evan, I don't want to evade my responsibility." Cara looked at him sadly. "I'm willing to pay you back all my life, but it's all our gratitude and resentment. You shouldn't involve the innocent people."
"Penn Enterprise has involved many companies and employees. If Penn Enterprise falls down, they will be affected! Can you let Penn Enterprise go?"
Evan couldn't help laughing when he heard this.
"Ha! What did you say? You don't want me to live in hatred. It turned out that you just begged for your own company. Cara, you are really inveracious and disgusting!"
"No, I really..."
"All right!" Evan interrupted Cara directly. "Stop sophistry! I tell you, I don't care whether they are innocent or not."
"If you want to blame, you can only blame them for having to have a relationship with Penn Enterprise and you!!" He pointed to her and said word by word: "you are the culprit who led to their involvement!"
"No..." Cara shook her head, bit her lips and looked at Evan. "If you just hate me, why involve the whole Penn Enterprise?"
"As long as you promise to let Penn Enterprise go, I can leave Penn Enterprise right away!"
"Ha!" Evan was full of sarcasm. "Who do you think you are? You're just a cheap mistress who signed a contract with me. What qualifications do you have to negotiate terms with me!"
Cheap mistress...
Cara closed her eyes. After his mother died, she didn't hesitate to sign a series of unequal dark treaties with him in order to stay with Evan.
This was what she recognized at the beginning, but why she felt heart and had hope for him?
But Penn Enterprise, she couldn't ignore it!
"How do you want me to let Penn Enterprise go?" Cara looked at Evan painfully.
Evan sat back on the sofa. When he heard this, he looked down at Cara coldly.
"Do you want me to release Penn Enterprise? Well, follow the old rules!"
Hearing the old rules, Cara's body trembled.
Cara didn't say anything. Evan sneered, "why? Don't you want to?"
"Admit it, Cara, you are such a person, selfish! Hypocritical! Disgusting!"
Evan said, but Cara slowly strengthened her eyes and looked at Evan:
"I'll go."
After she said, Evan watched her turn out of the door and kneel in the yard.
The night was cold. It seemed that the cold could drill into every corner of the body through the small pores on the skin.
Cara knelt in the yard. There was only a thin layer of skirt cloth under her knee. Her body was weak. Before long, her body lost consciousness and her consciousness became trance. Only when she fell to the ground every time, she would wake up slightly for a moment through pain.
She didn't know how long she knelt, the dark night sky began to turn bright, and a disturbing bell rang.
"Hello..." Cara's voice was hoarse and trembled.
There was an anxious voice over the phone, "Miss Penn, the old lady has heard about the company's trouble and is ill! She is in the hospital now. Please come quickly!"
