Alice's POV:
“You saw Neilson kissing another girl?” Nina asks.
I nod furiously. Right now, I’m in her room, inhaling Oreo after Oreo, hoping it will kill me at some point. She sat there, staring at me, drowning in sorrow. “I got a meeting with the dean of Princeton this Friday,” I said, causing her to choke on her Oreo.
“You what?” she yells, and I nod my head. She pauses, mind analyzing the situation. That’s what Nina does, she always over examines things. “You aren’t going to turn it down are you?”
I glance at her, lifting a brow. “What makes you think that?”
“Do I really have to say his name?” she asks and I shake my head, inhaling more Oreo. I love this stuff.
I grab another one only to find the whole container empty. “f*****g shitholes” I mumble, throwing myself back hoping the Oreos inside my mouth choke me. I sat up, chewing all the Oreos inside my mouth and swallow it, quickly drinking some water. “I’m doing it, I’m doing the interview.”
Nina lifts a brow. “Really?”
Inhaling a breath, I gave her a confident nod. “I’m going to move on with my life. Life isn’t all about Neilson Yi! If he can’t see how f*****g amazing I am, then it’s his loss! I’m going to take that damn test, get a boyfriend, go to Princeton, and he makes him regret he lost all of this,” I said, throwing my arms all over my body.
She nods her head. “You go do you,” she said, throwing me a high five.
I throw the blanket off and stand up straight, stomping my feet a few times. “I will do me!”
My body jumps back when I hear a pounding on the other side of the wall. “Shut up! Do your inspirational speech elsewhere,” Nina’s older sister, Amanda screams.
I pound the wall back, “I’m confident right now!”
She pounds back, “Be confident somewhere else!”
I turn back towards Nina. “You break my wall. You pay for it,” she said
“Well, you know what?” I said.
“What?”
“I ain’t got no money money money,” I said, pretending to throw out money with my hands causing her to roll her eyes.
Quickly, Friday rolls around the corner. I tug down the red skirt, then back up my black blouse, mind wondering if what I’m wearing is good enough. I throw on a simple silver necklace and earrings. “You can do this Alice,” I told myself.
My legs move to the living room, seeing dad passed out on the couch. “Dad I’m leaving,” I said, and he continues ignoring me.
“I may go to Princeton,” I mumble, but he didn’t respond.
Digging into the large purse, I found my keys and lock the house. I shake my head. “You can do this, Alice!” I told myself, black heels clicking on the sidewalk.
I hear a motorcycle roar and wave my hands, seeing Randy. My eyes widen when I saw Neilson with his girlfriend, along with Anthony and Drew. Neilson stands there, lifting a brow at me, as he crosses his arms. Anthony and Drew quickly turn their attention towards me along with his girlfriend.
Why are they all doing here on a Friday night?!
Calm down, Alice, act cool.
Act cool. Act cool.
And I f*****g trip.
Quickly, I stand up and fix myself, avoiding all eye contact and walked towards Randy. “Smoooooth,” he said, glancing at the group.
“Is that him? Is that Neilson?” he asks pointing at him.
I slap his hand down. “Shut up and drive,” I hiss lowly.
Randy c**k a brow at me, turning his head towards the group, apparently staring at them while I nudge his shirt. “Hi Neilson!” he screams, and Neilson shot him a glare.
I grab my bag and start hitting Randy who's laughing his ass off. “Ass,” I growled.
Turning towards them, Neilson continues to look at us in a displeasing manner. My eyes widen when I saw him marching towards us, along with the other three.
You can do this, Alice.
Act casual.
Be cool. Be cool.
Don’t let them find out what you’re doing.
Neilson halt, eyes were analyzing Randy's body, who casually smiles at him. Randy hops off his motorcycle and throws his helmet down. “Hi! You must be Neilson! I heard a lot about you!” Randy said, throwing out a hand.
Neilson's eyes shot downward and take his hand. Randy flinch, “I can’t say the same about you,” he said, in a tone much more profound than usual.
The blonde girl's eyes analyze my body and snort. I look down, wondering if I choose the wrong outfit for a meeting with the dean of Princeton.
Neilson clears his throat catching our attention. “Where are you guys going?” he question, eyes entirely fixate on me.
“We are going out on a date!” Randy said happily, and I twist my head towards him, while he lifts an arm around my shoulder, pulling me inward.
“A date?” Neilson said slowly, emphasizing the two words. He stares at the arm around my shoulder then back up at me. “You’re going out on a date?”
Randy grins, “Yes!”
“I’m not talking to you,” Neilson states, causing Randy's eyes to viciously narrow at Neilson.
Randy releases a low laugh and stands up straight, but Neilson still overpowers him by a good few inches. “Alice is going to be my woman soon, so we speak one voice,” he said.
Quickly, I punch his arm. “I don’t think so.”
I turn back towards them. “Mind giving us a second,” I chuckle out nervously, pulling Randy back who was still eyeing Neilson.
“What are you doing Randy?” I whisper.
“Showing that asshole something,” he responds, whispering.
“What do you mean?”
“I’m showing him that you aren’t going to be in the market forever,” he said.
“But-”
“Follow my lead. Plus, you don't want them to know about Princeton, right?” He throws his arms around me. He leans towards my ear. “Smile,” he whispers, and I plant the usual fake smile on my face.
“Well, we have to go. It was nice meeting you all,” Randy said, then look at me.
I start giggling nervously and feeling him pinching my side. “Well! Bye!” I said, pulling him towards the motorcycle.
My body shivers when I feel an overly daring glare, burning in the back of my head. Randy jump onto his motorcycle, and I hop on ignoring the permanent holes. Randy hand me his helmet, and I look at him. “What about you?” I ask, and he merely waves me off.
He turns around and wiggles the helmet onto my head. “Your safety is the priority,” he said, smiling at me. “Wrap your arms around me, okay?” he pats the helmet, and I did as he told.
Instantly, I feel the wind crashing on every part of my body, and I understand why Randy decides to purchase a motorcycle instead of a car. It feels incredible, free.
Damn, I want a motorcycle.
After some time, of Randy's crazy driving, we reach the restaurant. I take off his helmet and shove it back into his chest, fixing my hair. “You’re really doing this?” he asks handing me my purse.
I nod my head. “You’re right; I can’t be a kid following a guy who will never notice me forever.”
He starts messing up my hair more. “I’m proud of you, Alice in Wonderland,” he said, grinning at me.
He places his hand in the air for a high five, and I went for it, but he withdraws it. “Got yah!” he yells, throwing his head back laughing loudly as tears emerge in the corner of his eyes.
I slap his chest. “Shut up!” I said, stomping my foot, pouring out my lips.
After some time, he wipes off his tears and pinches my cheek. “Good luck, Alice in Wonderland” he whispers.
I stand there, waving at him while he drives away, granting me a backward salute.
Fixing myself, I stand up straight and walk into the restaurant, determine to get a spot in Princeton.
SATURDAY - 2:13AM
There's an annoying buzzing noise. “Who the f**k is calling me this late?” I said, throat desperate for some water.
Picking up the phone, without looking at the caller ID, I answer it. “Hello?”
“Angellllllllll,” a voice slur out.
I instantly wake up. “Neilson?”
“Angelllllll come hiccup out! I’m in your hic house hiccup wait at the front of your hiccup house,” he said, voice sounding entirely different.
“Neilson, are you drunk?” I whisper.
“No,” he responds, tone suddenly sounds dead.
“Wait right there,” I jump out of bed and grab my jacket. Quickly, I rush out of the house, attempting not to make any sound.
When I close the front door, I saw Neilson standing there; sleeves roll up, messy hair push back. He saw me and grin, zig-zagging his way towards me. “Angel,” he slur out, wrapping his arms around me.
“Oh gosh, Neilson, how much did you drink?” I ask, smelling strong alcohol radiating off his body.
He wiggle a finger in front of me.”No! You no call me Neilson. You hiccup call me Muffin,” he said, eyes staring at me but it looks like it was elsewhere.
“Okay Muffin, let’s take you home,” I said slowly.
He lean against me, and I attempt to drag his drunk ass home. I know Neilson drink, obviously, since he is an adult, but this is the first time I’ve seen him so wasted.
“Where are your keys?” I ask.
He looks at me and grin, pushing me against his front door. “Front pocket.” The heart inside my chest almost leaped out when I felt a thigh pushing between my legs. He leans down, beside my red ear. “Go on Angel, get it,” he whisper.
I can feel his thighs moving around my core, a hand slips on my lower back, arching me inward. My breathing hitch when I feel his hot breath against my neck, fogging up my mind. Biting my lips, I reach for both sides of his pockets, attempting to find the key quickly.
When I feel it, I pull it out and release a deep breath of relief. I push him back and went on a search for the right key with my trembling fingers. He wraps his arms around my waist, scaring the s**t out of me. I can feel his hot lips around my neck, sending little kisses and at that moment, I forgot how to breathe.
He presses my body against the door, grinding his bulge against my ass. “N-Neilson,” I stutter out, feeling him reaching for the inside of my shirt.
"Mi amore, mi fai impazzire” he said.
Fuck, it’s in Italian, I don’t know what the s**t he is talking about.
“Non puoi immaginare quanto voglio che tu apra le tue gambe per me,” he whisper lowly, and I feel like I hear something I shouldn’t have.
When I feel him grinding against me some more, I shake off my inner horny beast and continue searching for the key. “Perché devi essere così giovane? Se ti tocco, sarò mandato direttamente in prigione. Ma, voglio toccarti, leccare ogni centimetro del tuo corpo e sbattere il mio cazzo duro dentro di te fino a piangere” he keeps talking, and by now I ignore him.
My face brightens when I finally, unlock the door. Instantly, he pulls me inside and slams it shut causing the keys in my hand to drop on the ground. He presses his chest against me, an alcoholic breath hitting my face. I release a short nervous chuckle, raising a hand to push him back. He grabs my wrists, pinning them on top of my head, deep brown fixate on me.
My body freezes when I feel his tongue running up my neck, biting my ear only one sentence on my mind: What the f**k.
He lowers a hand from my back towards my ass squeezing it. ”Mi Amore, you can’t imagine how much I want to make a mess out of this small firm ass of yours.”
Mi Amore? Oh gosh, does Neilson think I’m that blonde chick?
When I feel him sucking on my neck, I snap. “Neilson stop!” I shout, pushing him off refusing to be a replacement for that blonde girl.
He fell to the ground, hitting his head on the wall. Instantly, I rush towards him, helping him stand up and walking him towards the living room couch. “Oh gosh, are you okay?” I ask, and he shakes his head.
Laying him down on the couch, he flops down and places a hand on his bruising head. Quickly, I sat up to go get him an ice pack only to be pulled back. “Stay with me,” he said.
“You need an ice pack,” I said, hoping he won’t go into a coma.
He shakes his head. “Stay with me Angel,” he said, pulling me down and putting me in a lockdown position, legs and arms wrap all around my body. When I hear him snore, I know it's over for me.
When I wake up, Nelson is still buried in sleep. I wiggle my way out of his tight grip. Releasing a deep breath, I went to grab a pillow and blanket from his room. My legs stop when I saw a picture of Nielson and me when we first went to the aquarium together. I was twelve at the time, and he promised me he would take me to the aquarium if I got A’s in all my tests, which I did.
I grab the photo by the nightstand, and couldn’t help but smile. I was hugging Neilson's waist tightly hold a bag of chips, while he had an arm around me, carrying the giant stuff jellyfish he bought for me. Releasing a deep breath, I place it down and walk downstairs. I tuck the pillow under his head and throw the blanket over his body.
Standing there, I stare at him. The mouth hung open, and limbs throw everywhere in a disorderly manner. “Neilson Yi, what exactly are you doing to me?” I whisper.
Taking a sniff I wipe the water from my cheeks. “When did mother nature decide to make it rain inside?” I mumble.
Shaking my head, I walk outside and gently close the door. I grab my phone from my back pocket and dial a number.
“Who the f**k wants to go to hell for disturbing me this early on a f*****g Saturday?” she groggily asks.
“Carla, can you introduce me to some guys?”
