I struggled to open my eyes, but I managed to gaze up at the canopy above me, the moonlight shining through. Tears flowed down my cheeks as I felt the sensation of my arm being twisted backwards and my body contorting. I could hear the distinct popping sounds as each of my bones elongated and popped into place, one by one.
Suddenly, they would revert, repeating the same actions over and over again. Each time, my bones cracked and popped incessantly. The pain was excruciating and unlike anything I had ever experienced before. Every movement felt like a struggle against my own body. Each breath was a challenge, as if every inhale and exhale caused a sharp, stabbing pain.
After hours had passed, the relentless cracking and popping finally ceased. I found myself lying there, utterly exposed, my clothes ripped and tattered. The adrenaline coursing through my veins began to dissipate, leaving me feeling vulnerable and defeated in the aftermath. As I slowly rose to my feet, I surveyed the surrounding wreckage. As my headache disappeared, a peculiar sensation overwhelmed me - my vision appeared distorted. Lowering my gaze, I was astonished to discover that I had grown a magnificent coat of snow-white fur.
“Well that wasn’t so bad, was it?” A voice that seemed as sweet as honey drifted through my mind.
“What? “Who said that?” I thought to myself, turning and looking around me, I noticed I had a tail, a fluffy tail. “Oh my goddess! I turned! I am a wolf!” I shouted in my mind.
“Easy, easy, no use in screaming.” She chuckled. “I am your wolf, Autumn! It is nice to finally meet you.”
“Oh hi! I am Olivia.” I stated.
Autumn revealed, "I know exactly who you are, and I've been eagerly awaiting the perfect moment for your transformation. Your strength is truly extraordinary.".
"I had been feeling weak and small, but now I feel strong," I confessed to her.
Autumn assured me, "You may be small and short, but in my presence, you radiate power. You keep up with them in training and surpass them. They may underestimate you, but you are not weak; you are strong and remarkably intelligent. I will always be here to remind you of your true strength."
“Thank you.” I smiled.
"Before we need to return to the pack house, why don't we make the most of our remaining time and go for an invigorating run? It would be delightful to stretch our legs a little.”
"That sounds like a plan. Should you take control of our movements or should I?" I asked her, uncertain how it all worked.
Autumn assured me, "I may take the lead in wolf form, but ultimately, you possess the power to seize control of any situation that arises. If ever faced with something dreadful, I will be your shield."
"Wow, that's absolutely astonishing," I exclaimed, completely captivated by Autumn's words.
"As we run, you'll witness the world through our eyes. It might take some getting used to at first, but you'll adapt before you know it," she assured me.
Leaves rustled under Autumn's swift movement through the woods. Small trees snapped as we barreled through. She darted around, her graceful movements causing the wind to ruffle our fur and the dirt to kick up under our paws. It was a profoundly unique experience, unlike anything I had ever encountered before. I felt a surge of exhilaration as we raced through the forest, the sights and sounds of the wilderness surrounding us. The bond with Autumn made me feel alive in a way I hadn't known was possible. We ran for the next few hours. When I shifted back into my human form, I looked down at my naked body. The transformation has brought about unexpected changes. My once slender physique had now become more voluptuous, with fuller breasts and beautifully defined curves. I couldn't help but feel a mix of surprise and fascination as I examined my new appearance. It was as if the transformation had not only altered my physical body, but also awakened a newfound confidence within me. I needed to get a better look in the mirror to fully grasp the extent of my transformation.
I slipped into the pack house unnoticed, for that I was thankful because I was completely naked. I made my way to my small room and stood in front of the mirror looking over my new body. My skin seemed to have a newfound radiance to it. My eyes were no longer a dull mud brown; they had transformed into a captivating honey-gold color. Similarly, my lips now possessed a natural red tint and appeared fuller. As I ran my fingers through my hair, I realized that it had grown longer and silkier overnight. The reflection staring back at me seemed like a stranger, but somehow familiar, as if this transformation had been long overdue.
Wow, we look absolutely breathtaking! Autumn said. “Look at us!”
I turned around to look at my backside and my once pancake-like posterior had transformed into a curvaceous masterpiece.
“Holy s**t, look at my ass! This is unbelievable. Does this happen to everyone?” I said out loud, asking her.
“I know, nice, huh? We are going to make a lot of people envious. Not everyone experiences this. Only those who are strongest are able to achieve the most remarkable transformations. Autumn giggled.
I moved away from the mirror and decided to put on a pair of sweatpants and an oversize hoodie. I wasn’t ready to show everyone my new transformation. s**t the dinner was tonight at the café for my birthday.
“I guess we will have to show them all tonight,” Autumn said.
“I guess so.” I shrugged my shoulders.
“It’ll be like a reveal party then,” Autumn suggested.
I just nodded my head as my stomach growled.
“Food and a nap sound good to me,” Autumn said, and I agreed with her.
I pulled my hood up and walked out of my room. The tantalizing blend of musk, floral, and vanilla filled the air and completely immobilized me. I felt my wolf stir at the intoxicating scent.
“Mate. “Our mate is here.” She said to me.
That was when I heard the door burst open behind me. Jane was behind him, in complete tears.
“What are you doing? Elijah! Look at me! Please stop. I am supposed to be your mate!” She cried.
I heard his footsteps approach as he shrugged her away. I was still nervous and scared. My hood was still up. I knew who my mate was before he knew I was his. His hands were at my waist and just his touch alone made me want to melt into him.
He turned me around and looked down at me. He immediately let me go. “No.” He looked at me.
“No? No? Why no?” I felt my wolf cry. Hurt burned through me.
“You can’t be my mate! You’re just an Omega. A lousy, good for nothing, Omega!” He stepped back from me. I could feel him fighting his wolf, who did not agree with his actions. The mate bond pulling at us both.
“You. You are his mate!” Jane hissed. “You have got to be kidding me! You b***h!”
I looked at the scene unfolding before me and Elijah moved closer to Jane. I wanted to rip her to shreds as they touched.
“Do it, Elijah. Reject her!” Jane told him.
“Reject her.” He repeated as he looked down at Jane before looking at me.
“Elijah, don’t.” I pleaded with him.
He held his hand up to silence me. “I am the future Beta to the Crystal Blood Pack. I can not be mater to a small wolfless Omega…”
“But I have…” I went to cut him off but he yelled.
“Enough, Olivia! That is enough.” His voice was angry as he spoke. “You are not my mate. I, Elijah Connor, future Beta to the Crystal Blood Pack, reject you, Olivia Benson, as my mate.”
I felt my heart break into a million pieces. The pain was unbearable, as if each shard represented a shattered dream. Tears streamed down my face as I tried to find a way to mend the fragments of my broken heart. But no matter how hard I tried, the pieces refused to fit together, leaving behind an emptiness that I feared would never be filled.
“Accept the rejection!” Jane screamed at me.
“What?” I looked between the two of them.
“Accept my rejection, Olivia.” Elijah told me.
I didn’t want to accept it. Why was this happening to me? Why did he think I was without a wolf? He could smell my scent. Having a scent meant that I had a wolf, right? Tears continued to stream down my face as I looked up at the man who was rejecting me.
“I, Olivia Benson, accept your rejection.” The moment the words left my lips, he vanished. Both of them disappeared. I crumpled to the ground, the pain nearly unbearable. My heart felt as if it had been ripped out of my chest, leaving me gasping for air. All I could do was let the tears flow, mourning the loss of what could have been.
“We are not staying here. Get up, get our things.” She instructed me.
