-CHAP-1-
Violet Swanson’s alarm went off at exactly 7:00 am Monday morning. She wanted the world to come to an end but that was a hell of difficult task.
She is currently living in hell and there is nothing she can do about it.
She stretched her hand to turn off the shrieking alarm but to add salt to the injury, the alarm clock fell on the floor with a thud. She hoped that it would spoil so that it cannot keep on annoying her this morning but that was not the case.
The alarm continued shrieking and she had to wake up. She cursed severally as she got off the bed. She turned the alarm off just before her mother walked in.
“I am awake mother, I will be downstairs in a few,” Violet told her mother and she left her room.
Sighing, she went to the mirror and stared at herself for a few seconds. She hated her life. She hated high school. Every day walking through the Hallway of Liberty High School is like walking through the streets of hell.
She doesn’t know where the new attack would come from and this is killing her.
She is Violet, the girl in the hoodie. That is why, after she took a shower and oiled her body she wore a pair of baggy jeans, a t-shirt and a hoodie to cover her hair. This is how she dresses every day to school.
“Stop looking at me like that mother, I am okay, I am not depressed,” Violet told her mother who looked at her daughter with a sad expression on her face.
She knows her daughter is going through the most in that nasty school. She has never seen her happy ever since she joined that school.
She is an adult you know, she doesn’t know where to help. She is clueless on how to help her only daughter.
“Violet, you know I will always be here for you, I am your mother, you can tell me anything,” The mother assured her daughter.
“As I said mother, I am fine, I am not depressed,” Violet said as she walked over to the fridge to grab an apple.
“OH!” Her mother sighed.
It really becomes hard when you don’t know how you can help your daughter yet you sometimes find her pillow soaked with too much tears. It is difficult to her mother.
The mother and daughter took their breakfast in silence. Violet looked through her phone hoping that they have not picked on her in the school f*******: page.
She is just looking out for herself. No one is her friend in that damn school and she has to be a friend to her very self.
She was quite happy that this morning, she doesn’t have to deal with people talking ill of her. Her mother watched her from the corner of her eyes wishing better days for her daughter. Thank God it is almost spring break, she will look for a way to make her daughter happy once again.
She will look for a way to bring her perfect smile for the world to see once again.
Violet picked her packed lunch and stuffed it in her bag. She kissed her mother goodbye before she walked out of the house. Her mother wished her a good day in school and Violet didn’t believe that.
She always wished her that but when she got to school, she was picked on and bullied by her classmates.
Violet had this strong urge to tell her mother that she should as well tell her to survive the day in school but she decided to let it go. She didn’t want to burst her bubble yet she is doing all it takes to ensure that she is happy. Even if it doesn’t work.
Violet cycled to school. She loved Cycling, at least in the end, her body and her health will be alright thanks to that exercise.
By the way she has a perfect body, under all this layers of hoodie and t-shirt and anything she can chose to wear beneath.
She parked her bike and blew several breaths before she decided to walk to the hallway, hell. Let me call it hell.
“Violet,” She was heading to the Hallway when she had someone call her.
This was very strange. Something unheard of. How comes someone will call her. No one wanted to associate with her even if they felt sorry for her. Being her friend equals to being bullied just like the way she is bullied every day in school.
She ignored the caller and focused on walking to class when the person called her and went ahead to stand in front of her.
“Zach!” Zach the popular boy at school wants to have a word with her.
This is impossible, this is a trap. This is the next prank they have staged so as to bully her. She knew this and that is why she wanted to ignore him completely.
“Come on Violet, say something,” Zach begged her.
“Leave me alone!” Violet screamed and she caught the attention of a few people that were walking nearby.
“Calm down Violet, I am not going to hurt you, I simply want to be your friend,” Zach begged her and her heart stopped beating for a few seconds.
Did she hear the word Friend! That is something she had never heard of in ages.
How comes the popular football player wants to be her friend? This is definitely a trap.
“Leave me alone Zach, please,” Violet begged.
“No, I want to be your friend and that is what I will be,” Zach held her hand and started walking with her to the hallway.
Violet was still in shock. This has never happened. Is it really true that Zach wants to be her friend?
Maybe he saw how the rest of the students bullied her and that is why he has decided to find a friend in her.
The rest of the school who were basically in the hallway stared at them as if they had just risen from the dead.
Zach walked with her to her locker. She opened it but before she could fish out the books for the day, Zach locked the locker and turned her to face him.
After their eyes locked in an instant. Zach leaned in closer to her and their nose were actually touching.
Violet started breathing rapidly. She had never been close to a man before.
“I love you,” Zach whispered and his lips got closer to Violets.
Violet’s stomach was a pit of nerves. She was happy and undecided at the same time. She did not know if she should believe him or not.
This was too good to be true.
When Zach leaned in to kiss her, she also parted her lips and that is when her face was flushed with lighting.
“Perfectly done Zach, I see she can be a w***e too,” Chloe, the meanest girl in class commented.
“I told you guys, I could lure her and she would spread her legs open for me,” Zach said amidst laughter as the rest of the students laughed at Violet.
Violet ran off with tears flowing from her eyes, she couldn’t believe that she allowed herself to fall for Zach’s trap.
