I checked the shower to see if it was working or if it was there for the mere purpose of decoration. The coldest water that I've ever felt came out from it. From the looks of things, I wouldn't be getting any hot water. Why do I even care if it is hot or cold, I am in no position to be making a choice right now. I should even be grateful that there's water to even clean up, whether it's hot or cold.
I placed the paper bag on top of the half-broken sink. What was I going to do since I was on sneakers? My eyes saw a rubber slipper under the sink.
