EPISODE 5 - AVA

479 Words
Sitting in Mr Grayson's office trying to take in the disappointment of not getting the job. "I am sorry Miss Ava, you are not fit for the job. Call another applicant on your way out". My whole world shattered into pieces, this was my last hope. I had spent weeks preparing for this day, and it was all for nothing. Slowly, I retrieved my credentials on the table, stuffed them into my suitcase and headed for the door. I managed to call the next person. Everything stopped existing, I didn't even notice that I was walking. Heading to the elevator, I was too sad, and managing not to cry. Thinking in my head, why was I rejected? Was it that my qualification didn't meet their standard or? I bumped into something and everything I was holding scattered on the floor. "Hey, are you alright?" A deep calm voice said. Without looking up, I bent down to pick my things. "I am so sorry. I should have been looking at where I was going to". "It is totally fine" He bent down to help me put my things back into my suitcase and, I could not help but be thankful that after all, someone helped me out of my misery. "Thank you......" I did not even complete my words when my eyes landed on those big blue beautiful eyes. He was like a supermodel. Muscles almost ripping from his expensive Gray suit. His perfume was strong and seductive at the same time. His lips were red and one would wish to kiss it all day. Jawline was perfect, hair wet and neatly trimmed down. He was just perfect from hair to toe. "You are welcome" he shook my hands. That brought me back to reality. I didn't even notice when I extended my hand and, I was admiring him. "Are you okay?" "I am totally fine. Thank you so much and I am so sorry. I feel like a total i***t". I straightened out, fixed my suitcase and flashed him the biggest happy smile. " Do have a lovely day". I walked to the elevator and headed for the exit. Walking towards the door, I couldn't stop thinking about this perfect man. He looked like an athlete who spent all his time trying to keep that body in shape. How can anyone be so handsome and perfect? Absentmindedly,  was smiling to myself. Shaking myself out of the dreamland because I knew how it was going to end. He could never want a girl like me. A nobody. All he would do is have s*x with me, toss me to the thrash and leave me heartbroken. I waved at a taxi, gave the driver my home address.  I was awoken from my fantasy to the reality of my missing brother. Little did I know what fate had in store for me.
