Elena is pacing up and down my house with a big frown on her face. I am still sitting on my bed, hugging my knees and staring blankly into the wooden floor. “This doesn’t make any sense,” my best friend murmurs into her chin. I agree with her, it doesn’t add up at all.   I just can’t understand, what could the thief possibly want with my pendant? Yes, it must have been worth a fortune, but all those other pieces of jewellery in the box were probably ten times as expensive. Why not just grab the box, if it was money they were after?
