I walked into the forest without looking back, before long I was walking into the dark forest, at which point I changed into my fierce lycan as I ran through the trees.
Draco was growling and howling with fury wanting to vent his anger. I knew we wouldn't be satisfied until we avenged our mate, however, all I needed was to listen to my mate and know that he was okay.
After a couple of hours, we finally stopped running. In fact, I didn't want to stop until the images of how I found my mate stopped haunting me.
His bloody and injured back, his cracked and bruised lips and his lifeless eyes. Each of those memories made my heart want to explode.
Endless questions began to wander in my mind: what if I hadn't gone to that celebration? or if the smell had been fainter and I had arrived a minute later? What could they have done to my mate all this time?
Just thinking that she had suffered so much, and that I could not protect her, made her run faster through the trees. I smashed through several willow trees as I slammed my paws hard against their trunks.
After an hour later, I thought my anger had finally subsided, but I was wrong. As soon as I got back to alpha Aidan's pack, I returned to my human form and walked around the room.
Apparently all was completely silent and the formal dinner was over. At that, I walked over to the small bar and grabbed a bottle of my favorite vodka.
Gulp after gulp made my mind begin to cloud, until I felt completely fatigued. I smashed the empty bottle against one of the walls and walked to the room that had been prepared for me to rest.
But before I could throw myself into bed I opened the link to Bradley.
"I want you to stay with her" I said.
"I will" Bradley replied immediately.
At his answer, I slowly threw myself on the bed and closed my eyes. All my thoughts were about this beautiful girl with light eyes and long hair. I didn't even know what her name was, but she was still f*****g beautiful.
I wanted to know everything about her, but most of all, I wanted her to wake up and tell me why the hell she was in that horrible place with those men. After all, one said they had those wolves there who had committed horrible crimes in the pack.
How could she be a dangerous wolf? She looked so fragile, so beautiful and perfect, as if she couldn't even hurt a fly.
"f**k, I can't feel his wolf" I suddenly heard Draco growl inside my head.
"Yeah, I know" I said with a pout on my lips.
In fact, when I was near her I could barely taste her intoxicating scent. Even when I touched her hand I felt a slight tingling run across my skin, but it wasn't that strong.
It seemed that her wolf was completely asleep, but why, how could her wolf be so weak. Not even the omegas had such a weak wolf.
They needed to describe what the hell had happened.
***
From Aidan's point of view.
But what the hell happened? My chest burned with a stabbing pain that shot through my whole body. My breath hitched as my skin tingled.
How the hell did that f*****g b***h accept my rejection? what the f**k was going through her mind? Why did she do this?
I hit the wall hard as my knuckles began to bleed. I turned her down, first, but I hoped she would give me a little more time to reconsider my decision and take her back.
I even expected to see her come into my office and beg me on her knees to take back my rejection, but things didn't happen that way. That b***h accepted my rejection without even waiting a month!
Just thinking about it made me feel anger gnawing at all my senses. A loud scream escaped my lips. Life was completely overtaking me, but I couldn't even leave my office, the pain of rejection was much worse than it had been described to me before.
I heard my wolf moaning and howling with sadness. I felt so many emotions that I couldn't even pinpoint what it was. One thing was very clear though, and that was that I needed to see Dianne.
I had to go to the dungeon and talk to her. I can't let her go, I refuse to let her accept my rejection. I shouldn't have lost my mate, after all, the pack members would start talking and my pack wasn't the strongest to face not only the rogues but the other packs.
At that, I sat down at my desk and tried to contain my anger. I needed to calm down and take a deep breath.
I held still for a moment until the painful sensations began to subside. I quickly tried to contact the head guard to ask him to bring Dianne to me.
However, when I tried to open the link he didn't even seem to exist. I couldn't even feel his wolves! But what the f**k? What about my men?
A grimace of confusion tugged at my lips as I quickly got up from my desk and left my office to head for the dungeons. Fortunately the treaty celebration was over and everyone had gone to their rooms, so I could go see Dianne without anyone intervening.
With a frown I made my way to the cells, but as soon as I got there my steps stopped with a startled gasp. My eyes widened like two saucers when I saw the guards at the entrance with a funereal expression on their faces.
I approached them and growled, alerting them to my alpha aura. They immediately nodded their heads and saluted with a nervous look.
"Alpha Aidan..."
"Alpha..."
I listened to their words, but I gestured and pushed them aside and walked to the cell where Dianne was, however I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw the silver bars torn from their hinges.
I was shocked for a second, but my surprise began when I turned my gaze to the inside of the cell. There were parts of my men on the floor, the walls were splattered with blood while I could see their hearts on the floor.
The strong coppery smell of rotting blood flooded my nostrils. These men looked like they had been torn apart by a beast.
At that I turned my gaze to the guards and frowned, "But what's going on here?"
"Alpha aidan... the Lycan king... the... he was here" Said one of the men with his lips trembling.
"The Lycan king took her," said the second man, looking down in fear.
I froze for a second, until my hand was placed on the first man's neck as a furious growl left my lips and echoed off the walls of the hallway.
"What do you mean the Lycan king took the girl?" I asked with an angry shout.
"Alpha...I...Alpha..." Said the man stuttering as his breathing became labored "Some guards were...they..." Tried to say the man.
At his nonsense words I felt a surge of anger and friction. What did this man mean? What were the guards doing that the Lycan king would do this?
"If you don't stop stuttering I'll break your neck and give your family your bloody head! s**t!" I shouted, pushing the man against the wall.
A grunt of pain escaped the man's lips as the sound of his back thundering against the wall echoed through the cell.
