Most of the men fell asleep immediately, because this was the first night of many that they had the chance to rest and sleep well. And the quick march through the desert had left most of them completely exhausted.
However, there were three men who did not sleep. One was D’Arlan, another Teuns Stegmann and then there was the other one.
D’Arlan startled slightly out of his musings when someone spoke out of the darkness beside him. “Mon capitaine, may I speak to you?” The words were whispered cautiously.
