“Give it to me.” I was standing outside where the guard was getting rid of Aria’s clothes. He turned and greeted me.
“I said bring them to me.” I saw how she wasn’t going to let him have them, that she had to put on a fight for it.
It must’ve meant something to her, I saw Aria and happened to hear all the Laikan said to her. The bond was broken, and Laikan would be in pain now, his wolf would have been groaning and howling in agony.
I understand him, it must have been tough for him to come up with such a decision. Laikan might think for himself but he would end up regretting why he chose to reject her as his mate.
I couldn’t blame him either, this was his way of protecting her.
