I stared at the sun, as it set down into the clouds, taking the yellow bright light along with it. I lay my head on Laikan’s shoulders whilst listening to his breathing.
“We need to go back to the pack before it gets late.“ Laikan’s voice tickles the crock of my neck.
“Just a little longer,” I whined and wrapped a hand over his. I felt his fingers stroking my hair, and I snuggled closer to him.
“You have an appointment with the pack doctor tomorrow morning, she’s going to run some tests.”
