It was past seven and we were anxiously waiting for Xander to come as he promised.
I rubbed my hands together, and Margarita was seated on the bed with her hands clasped.
We froze when we heard the door unlocked and pushed open. Xander stood before us, wagging the key of the door in his fingers, with a smirk.
“Did I keep you waiting?”
“What took you so long, I thought you weren’t coming anymore.” I ran shortly towards him and took the keys from his hands.
“What about the guards.”
“You don’t have to worry about them.” He shrugged and made an after-you Alphonse to me. I mouthed a thank you.
“But you must know I won’t follow you out of the borders, I need to head back to the palace immediately. I need to be by Laikan’s side.”
