I regretted it.
When I let Aria leave the pack, I have seen how Laikan has been for the past couple of weeks.
He was back to the grumpy Laikan I know, who hardly smiles or says more than two words. After that night in my room, it was the longest conversation we had. Laikan was working, hardly taking his rest, he was hell-bent on getting the man who had been hunting him, and now threatening a war in the empire.
He wants to stop it, I know he’s doing everything to make sure the war doesn’t happen. Nobody has been more frustrated than him, he couldn’t see Aria because she refused all his visits, and never returned his emails or letters that he sent.
We only heard about her, and that she was due in a few days.
