When Elise left for Nolan's office, she was excited about meeting him. But here, she was waiting outside his room for half an hour or more. Apparently, he was at an important meeting, or that is what the receptionist said. She even texted him he was there. But Nolan had not seen it yet. She wondered what could have kept him so busy that he didn't even find time to inform her she had to wait. He could have canceled it if there was some urgency.
"What are you doing here?" A man towered over her.
She looked up to meet Drake's handsome face, fixated on her. The familiarity of their faces was hard to miss. She was a fool to have overlooked it on their first meeting. He shared Nolan's sharp nose, sharp-square jaws, and full lips. But he had rounder eyes compared to Nolan's sharper ones.
