#3 The Damned Kiss!

"I should be on the dance floor, partying and dancing!" Elise stood after she gulped down her fifth glass. She had no idea what she was drinking, but the alcohol was the smoothest and sweetest one that she had. It must be really costly. But why should she care about things like that? She was partying with some rich, spoiled, handsome guy. The least he could do was pay for her alcohol. Wasn't this what fun girls do? They make others pay their bills! "You should sit down," Nolan said, amused. It wasn't even a hard drink. Yet she was already tipsy. She must not be into drinking or partying. "No! I want more! Pour me more!" Elise stuck out her tongue, making weird faces. To her, she looked cute or something. But Nolan laughed at her childishness. She indeed looked cute, but not the way Elise thought. The service boy wondered if he should give her any more alcohol. She was already out of control. But when Nolan tipped him to pour her more, he followed it immediately. "Thank you, Jack! Rich boy, make sure to leave him a huge tip. I am sure that won't burn a big hole in your pocket." Elise laughed hysterically, moving left and right, unable to stand still. Nolan was quick to catch her before she lost control and fell. But the wine she was holding fell into his expensive shirt. The color won't come out of it. But Nolan didn't care. He had his fair experience of being in drunk girls' company. But Elise was different. He could tell it was her first time. And somehow, it thrilled him. He felt responsible in a certain strange way. "Oops!" Elise chuckled before putting her finger on her lips, trying to stop her uncontrollable smile. Nolan couldn't help but smile back at her. He was feeling butterflies. "Wow! Is that all muscles? No wonder everyone was drooling at you like you are some eye candy back in the store. My friend Sara likes you." Elise suddenly began touching his arms, shoulders, chest, and abdomen. "I wonder what you are hiding underneath. Hehe..." She giggled. That took Nolan by a sudden surprise. But he didn't push her away. He faintly looked at the server, hinting to him to leave the two alone. "Even that salesgirl couldn't stop devouring you. She was so mean to me." Elise pouted. Nolan gulped hard. He had a sudden urge to kiss her red lips. They were inviting, enticing him to make a move. He was an experienced kisser, yet he couldn't feel the uncontrollable pull and desire as if it was his first time. He was still looking at her plump lips when she laughed suddenly. "Let's bet. She had a crush on you. Hehe.." Elise was again laughing and touching him, making him shiver. Ripples of attraction invaded him. Unfamiliar desires and uncontrollable emotions surged through him. What was he even feeling? Was he a teenager or something? "What about you?" Nolan got close dangerously, making Elise speechless. Their closeness intrigued Elise. Nolan's hot breath fanned her cheeks, making her gulp hard. "What about you, Elise?" Nolan whispered in her ears, sending a shiver down her spine. Elise stopped touching him, breathing heavily. She felt funny between her legs. "What about me?" She stuttered, trying to put some distance. But she was somehow in his tight grasp. "Don't you find me attractive enough? Don't you like me?" Nolan probed seductively. Elise swallowed hard, evading his dark eyes full of lust and something more. She was drunk. She could be imagining all sorts of things. "Nolan!" a voice came from a near distance. It was Gianna. She must have enquired the server about them. She was like a bad luck charm attached to him. Nolan hissed, putting some distance between him and Elise. "Who is she? What is she doing here?" Gianna probed, making Nolan irritated. But Elise had already poured some more wine into her glass. She gulped it all in one go and smiled hopelessly. That earlier moment had made her a little sober. She needed more alcohol in her system. "Hi, beauty queen!" She giggled. Gianna reminded her of Helena. Beauty queens had always surrounded good-looking men. And this one was a devil. So, it had to be someone so exquisite, like that woman. "Excuse me!" Gianna glared. She wasn't sure how to respond to such a remark. Nolan chuckled at Elise's comment, making her even more pissed. Why did that girl amuse him so much? She was nothing compared to her. "Elise, let's get out of here. Gianna, goodnight." Nolan grabbed Elise's hand, dragging her out of that private space, making Gianna scoff. She blew some air and rolled her eyes, feeling humiliated. Who did they think they were? Especially that clumsy girl! Elise, or whatever her name was, was just another random one-night girl. It would be her who would eventually tame that playboy billionaire, Gianna thought as she looked down the stairs, watching Elise and Nolan climb down. Elise was leading the way. Perhaps she was heading towards the dance floor. Gianna fumed. She had seen enough for the night. She would not stay there any longer and watch all that nonsense. Neither of them would remember this wasted night, especially Nolan. She would be back to talk with him when he was sober. Elise had no idea she had that side to her. Perhaps she wouldn't remember it all as Gianna had thought. But she was enjoying it like there was no tomorrow. Or at least alcohol did its job wonderfully. She was heartbroken. She felt devastated, used, and betrayed. So, she believed she deserved to get loose and do something reckless. That one night, she would do everything the exact opposite of what she had been all this while. She was going to have fun like any ordinary girl. She was going to pretend there was nothing holding her down. She was indeed happy and fun to be around. Elise started dancing to her heart's desire. Nolan was sitting in a bar chair, watching her. Elise had offered him to dance with her, but he didn't want to go to the dance floor in his pub. There were too many prying eyes. He was going to let her take the spotlight. Plus, he hated dancing. He sucked at it, honestly. But much to Nolan's annoyance, not long after, many men started crawling around Elise. Her body-hugging dress wasn't helping either. She looked like a flower, and there were so many butterflies around her. Her perfect hourglass shape looked inviting. Her free-flowing mid-length hair jumped with her every move, making her look fascinating. And the way she lip-synched the song made her look irresistible. All in all, Nolan gulped hard, trying to hold back his urge to punch all the men surrounding Elise. That woman looked like a goddess, but she was his. Nolan smacked the glass hard enough to make the people nearby stare at him. But one glare from him and they started doing whatever they were up to before that punching sound. He slithered through the drunken crowd towards Elise, dancing swiftly to her heart. He grabbed her hand and dragged her out despite her protest. She revolted and pouted, but Nolan wasn't going to leave her alone in a place he couldn't be around her. It looked too risky. "Let me dance! I want to have fun!" Elise pouted. "Don't pout again if you don't want me to kiss you," Nolan declared, making her startle. But Elise quickly overcame that. He must be joking. Why would someone like him ever want to kiss her? She was mediocre. She started laughing, considering it a plain joke to keep her away from the dance floor for reasons best known to him. "What is so funny here?" Nolan queried, making their way out of the pub. Maybe they should move somewhere quieter. He desired to know her, especially why she was here. Her friend murmured about some heartbreak and an asshole boyfriend if he remembered it clearly. He wanted to find out more about her. And all that alcohol and partying wasn't helping him. "You want to kiss me? I mean, why? Even if I could beg you to kiss me, you wouldn't. Huh! There is no way-" Elise had not even finished her when Nolan's full lips landed on her plump ones. Elise's eyes bulged out, her body stiffening at that. Was she dreaming? It must be. Her mind must have wanted to take a break from Mike and jumped on to the most handsome man she had seen earlier that morning. That must be the case. She decided to enjoy the kiss in her dreams. But it was too brief, to her dismay. Nolan gulped hard, distancing himself from her. If he continued it for even a little longer, he might end up in a situation where he would crave more. He was about to move away when Elise pulled him to her, kissing him back. Nolan was startled, but it was impossible for him to stop it when Elise initiated the kiss. Their tongues wrapped around each other, sucking and swirling around their mouths as they kissed. Nolan felt like a cloud of desires, and a dam of emotions burst free. He felt like he was sailing through unfamiliar waters. He wrapped his hands around her small waist, deepening their kiss. The surrounding noise evaporated, the surrounding people vanished, and the world around them faded as the two got engrossed in that lip lock. "Elise?" a voice snapped her out from that moment. She had simply assumed it to be some alluring, fascinating dream in her drunken state all this while. So, her initial reaction was to ignore that faint, familiar voice. But when it became clearer and louder, she paid more attention to her surroundings to realize she was undoubtedly kissing Nolan. It wasn't a dream. He had been teasing her the whole night, hinting at his attraction to her. Was she a fool? How could she not be able to differentiate between a dream and reality? At that very moment, Elise pushed Nolan, turning away from him to evade his powerful, seductive eyes. "Sara! Are you alright?" Elise tried to brush off that kiss from her mind. "My head is spinning, but I am better. I want to go home. Who was that man? Don't tell me it was Mike." Sara questioned, rubbing her head. She looked wasted. "My men will drop her home." Nolan joined their conversation, annoying Elise. That brief kissing moment had made her all sober now. She rolled her eyes at him as Sara giggled in awe. "You did right! Mike would be so jealous to see you stick your tongue inside the most incredible man on earth. I am jealous. But since you got cheated on today, I will let you have him!" Sara giggled again, making Elise scowl uncomfortably. "There is nothing between us. It was a drunken mistake." Elise gulped. Nolan chuckled, making it look like Elise was making a stupid excuse. She frowned at him, but his handsome smile didn't do any justice. She had no other option but to sulk. "Let's go home together." Elise offered. "No! You must enjoy your night! Mister, where are your men? I need to hurry." Sara winked at her before rushing in the direction Nolan pointed. Elise wanted to follow Sara, but Nolan grasped her. Elise scowled, but it only earned her his one more explicit heart-moving smile. Why was she suddenly feeling butterflies in her stomach? The damned kiss? Phew... "You still haven't answered my question." Nolan chuckled, dragging her out with him. When Elise looked at him confusedly, he smirked. "So, do you like me?" Elise gulped hard, evading his pondering eyes. She felt like he was looking at her naked soul with those dark, enticing orbs. He could feel his smirk, but Elise decided not to look at his handsome face. She knew she was blushing. She closed her eyes, feeling flustered, making Nolan laugh harder. Elise had no idea why she was still around him, but perhaps she was still drunk! Or maybe she didn't want to accept it yet, that she was enjoying his company. For the first time, it was actually about her. "What do you want to do?" Nolan asked as he opened the door of his car for Elise. She sighed, looking at the sky. Helena's and Mike's words echoed in her mind. She needed to get them out of her system. "Let's get wasted!" Elise smiled at Nolan, giving him a questioning look. "Let's get wasted." Nolan smiled back.
