Carnival

As they arrived she saw the bright colorful lights coming from the rides that filled the park, she heard loud music from the speakers, the sweet smell of candy apples and popcorn filled the air, she stood beside the car as he walked around to her, Aaron had already left an went in looking for the rest of their friends, she hadn't been to the carnival in years and there were tons of people filling the place since it was a Friday night, she thought about just telling Bryant to take her home, she didn't know if she could do this, she took in a large deep breath.   She felt a him grab her hand, “You will be fine, I’m here” he said smiling. She felt more comfortable knowing that he was there by her side. She held onto his hand as they made their way to the ticket line. They got their tickets and started to walk around, Bryant led them over to the game area, “Do you want to play?” he asked nicely looking down at her, she looked extremely nervous looking around at all the people, “Ugh.. I’m ok” she said softly.  She let go of the grip she had on his hand and he began to shake it trying to get feeling back. The game was to throw the ball at the bottles trying to knock them down, she sat there right next to him as he threw the balls, she watched as he knocked them over, “Good job” she said looking up at him with a smile, “What would you like?” she heard the man ask from behind the stand, Bryant looked down at her and said “Whatever she wants” and smiled.  She could feel her face beginning to feel warm, he somehow had that effect of her when. She picked out a cute little polar bear and hugged it to her chest, “Thank you” she said softly, blushing even more.  As they walked around a voice shouted out to them, “Bryant!” “Bryant!” a tall, slim girl with black hair and red streaks all through it, came running over, she was accompanied by two of her friends, as they reached him she reached in giving him a hug, you could tell he was not thrilled by her company as he backed away from her quickly.  “I tried calling you earlier to see if you wanted to hang out tonight” she said excitedly, “You should have told me you were coming here!” she said again, her voice was high pitched and even had a squeak to it,  she looked over an noticed me standing there beside him holding a stuffed animal pressed tightly against my chest, “An who is this?” she asked with a snoody voice glaring down at me with her hands placed on her hips.  I felt my body clench up with fear, my eyes grew wide, my heart began to race an my palms started to sweat, I knew he could feel the fear running through my body since I was squeezing the blood out of his hand, he quickly spoke up, “This is Paige, I’m here with her” I swear I saw fire in her eyes when she looked down and noticed our hands linked together, I couldn’t help but take step a little closer to Bryant hoping he would protect me from this crazed girl, she looked like she was going to rip my head off any moment.  “Lindsey leave” I heard him say with a serious demanding voice. She quickly looked back up at him with wide eyes, “You will pay for this Bryant!” she shouted out as she turned around and stormed off. I was in complete panic, what had just happened? I took a step back unlocking hands with him and wiping the sweat from them, “Are you ok? I’m really sorry about that” he said, turning to her, “Who was that?” I asked, looking in complete shock at what had just happened. “She's nobody...She won’t get it through her mind I don’t like her” he said with a serious tone looking down at her, she looked down at her shoes and couldn’t help the emotions what came over her, she could feel myself trembling with fear but she also felt something else, jealousy. As she took a seat on the bench near the trees all she could think about was that girl hugging him.

 I wanted to push her off of him at that moment and tell her to back off!, Tell her that he was here WITH ME! I mean she's not even cute!! Than it hit her..Oh my goodness, was I starting to catch feelings for him? I can't catch feeling for him!! He is just a friend, actually my only friend and I can't mess this up! But I can't help these feelings that are coming over me! I need to control myself!! She thought to myself looking over at him playing more games at the stands.  Watching him throw those baseballs at the bottles again, she could feel her heart beating wildly in her chest, admiring his strong tight arm muscles bulging out from under his red tee shirt, ugh… she sighed a pleasantly. Hhe was done playing an she quickly snapped out of it when he walked over to the bench and sat down beside her, he looked at her and smiled, she looked over an instantly became lost in his eyes, they were so green, like bright grass, I need to get a grip of myself! But goodness he was so handsome! She felt herself starting tense looking him up and down. "Are you checking me out?" she heard him say jokingly with laughter to his voice. Her face felt like it was on fire, "NO!" she exclamed, looking down at her feel, she knew she had been caught, she felt so embarressed. "It's ok, I have that effect on woman" he said playfully nudging her lighting, she rolled her eyes an start to giggle to herself.

She heard a group of people talking behind them making their way over. She saw Bryant turn around an greet them, "Hey Paige come here" he yelled over at her motioning for her, she stood up and walked over, she saw two other guys standing beside Aaron, they were all dressed in dark clothes, one had spikey hair and the other had a tall mohawk, he saw two girls approaching the guys and grabbing their hands, they were pretty, both were wearing black shorts with fish nets underneath, one had dark purple hair pinned up on the side with a cute bow and the other had black hair with lime green streaks running through it. "Guys this is Paige" he introduced her as he grabbed her hand, "I love your name!" she heard one of the girls say cheerfully, "And your dress is to die for!" the other said. She her face began to feel hot again from the compliments, "Thanks" she said with a smile. Thank goodness they were nice! From the look of them they looked like they would be bitches and quick to tell anyone to go to hell she thought to herself. "Lets go ride the ferris wheel! The fire works are going to start soon and I want to watch them from there" she said the girl with the purple hair say to one of the guys tugging on his hand. "Fine..." she heard him to reply back. They all turned around and headed for the ferris wheel, Bryant still holding her hand began pulling her towards it, she tried to resist by pulling back but it didn't seem to help, he was determained to get to the ferris wheel with his friends. "Bryant!" she yelled out trying to get his attention but he couldn't hear her over the loud music coming from the giant speakers, "Bryant!" she yelled again, as they arrived his friends were already on, the seat was open and he pulled her to it.  She felt the large bar in front of them slam down, as the man working the machine said "Have fun kids!" Oh god here we go... she said to herself.
