Protector

It had been a couple of days since I told Bryant what happened, I felt a slight change in him, he seemed more protective over me, he began holding my hand as he walked me to and from each of my classes to assure no one would mess with me and even sat with me at lunch, in the evenings he would still come over but now he would stay with me until I fell asleep. In school I noticed people staring at us as we walked down the halls holding hands, they didn't know how to react seeing me with him or maybe it was the other way around, I even overheard Mathew telling one of his friends that I picked the freak over him as if he was jealous or something!! I didn't care, when I was with Bryant I felt strong, I felt like no one would mess with me or they knew I would sick him after them.  He didn't have the best reputation in school and kids knew not to push his buttons, except for the jocks, he had beatin up a couple of them last year and now they had it out for him, plus the way he dressed made him more of a target. It didn't seem to really bother him though unlike it did me... I didn't want him to fight over me and get kicked out of school, I needed him there to help me get through, an he knew that, so he attempted to try to stay calm especially when he seen Mathew, I knew he wanted to kill him, I could see the rage build up inside him every time he passed us.  I didn't want my problem to become his, even though he says what's mine is his. 

That afternoon as school let out he met me at the classroom grabbing my hand and walked me out the building to his car, we saw Aaron sitting on top on of the hood talking to one of his friends, "What the hell are you doing! Get the f**k off my car!" Bryant yelled out as he hopped off quickly, I had become friends with Aaron, he was always doing something to irritate Bryant and I couldn't help but laugh, I watched Bryant chase him around the car trying to grab ahold of him as Aaron yelled out for help, I shook my head and giggled to myself. 

Bryant was lucky to have such a good friend even if he did annoy him, Aaron always made sure he was ok and if he needed anything he knew he could count on him. I saw Aaron running over to me, he grabbed a hold of my shoulders as Bryant marched over to him, "Bryant if you want me you have to go throw Paige!" he yelled out trying to dodge his hand from grabbing him, "What? Don't get me involved!" she let out with a laugh, "Sick him Paige!" he yelled out making a growling noise behind her, she burst out laughing at him, she grabbed Bryant's hand and said "Come on" as she led him to the car, as they were both getting in they heard Aaron yell out "Hey what about me!", Bryant's face grew annoyed, Paige knew he couldn't just leave him, she looked over at Bryant with sweet eyes hoping he would say yes to him coming, "Come on!" he yelled out, Aaron quickly ran over and hopped in the back seat. "Soo guys where are we going?" he exclaimed with a big smile across his face, "We're not going anywhere" Bryant scolded as he turned the music up to draw out Aaron's voice. Paige heard her phone start to go off, it was a text from her mom, telling her, her cousin Amy was going to be staying with them for a few days since her parents house was being remodeled and she didn't want to stay at a hotel with them since they technically didn't get along. "Bryant" Paige said over the loud music, "My mom just informed me my cousin is going to be staying with us for a couple of days", "Oh yeah? So do you not want me to come over?" he said sounding slightly disappointed, she grabbed his hand "Of course I still want you to come over silly" she leaned over giving him a peck on the cheek. Aaron who was now leaning against Paige's seat looking very interested in what she had said, "Soo your cousin.." she knew exactly where this was going, "Is she hot?"Bryant shot him an evil glance, she laughed at his cute annoyed face, "Her name is Amy, she's 16, and yes she's pretty hot Aaron", she said to him, she saw his eyes light up with excitement, "Soo can I meet her?", she heard Bryant yell out at him "Dude!", she laughed as Aaron rolled his eyes at him, "So can I meet her?" with an eagerness to his voice, "Sure if you want" she said shrugging her shoulders, he sat back in his seat with a huge smile. Bryant looked over at her shaking his head, "You're too nice, you know that? he said with a slight grin, she felt her face starting to become warm, even though they had been spending a lot of time together recently, he still had that effect on her, he was the only person who could make her blush the way she did. 

As they pulled up to the house she heard a high pitched voice coming from the front door, "Paige!" she shouted in excitement!! She saw Amy, she was wearing short shorts with a skin tight tank top, her body was petite which made her curves stand out even more, she had long legs, and blonde hair that flowed down her back, she had always reminded Paige of Marilyn Monroe but with longer hair. Paige stepped out the car and she ran over to her giving her a hug, "I've missed you so much!", she exclaimed! “I’m going to be staying with you for a couple of days!!” she said excitedly, “I know mom told me, I can’t believe you're actually here though!” Paige said with a wide smile appearing across her face, giving her another hug. She turned around towards the car to introduce the guys, she pointed to Bryant an introduced him, he waved nicely saying Hi, than she turned towards Aaron who looked as if he was drooling, she introduced him and he seemed as if he couldn’t even talk, he just stared at her with amazement in his eyes. “Hi Aaron… “ Amy said with a small smile. Paige knew he was nowhere near her type, but then again Bryant wasn’t hers either but look at them now. Bryant decided to give them some time to catch up and told her he would text her later, she agreed, she wanted to catch up with Amy and see how everything was going in her world. Bryant leaned over in the seat and she put her head through the side window as he gave her a peck on the lips. She turned back around seeing Amy give her a cheesy little smile before grabbing her hand and leading her into the house. 

So who's the guy? She said with a smirk, Paige felt herself starting to blush, “Bryant…” she shyly replied. “I’m so happy for you!” she exclaimed, “And he’s really cute, in a bad boy dark way..”, Paige giggled, “Yeah he is pretty hot” agreeing with Amy. “So do you have anyone?” Paige knew Amy went through guys like people go through toilet paper, a new one every other week.  “As of right now no… I  broke up with him two days ago, thank goodness!, he was becoming very obsessed with me and I couldn’t take it anymore.” she said, then a curious look came across her face, “What’s up with the guy Aaron?” “Aaron’s single, he’s a pretty good guy, always making us laugh” Paige said trying to impress her since she knew Aaron liked her by the look on his face earlier. “Oh.. He’s pretty cute too, and that whole dark look kind of turns me on” Amy said with a seductive look in her eye. “Maybe we can double one night so I can get to know him more” she insisted, Paige agreed. They went up to the spare room so Amy could unpack, Paige helped her place her clothes into the drawers and placed her makeup on the desk, Amy wore tons of makeup, she always said makeup is a girl's best friend. As they finished they both went downstairs to eat dinner with her parents. They sat down at the table and Paige felt her phone vibrate in her pocket, it was Bryant…

Bryant: I miss you…

She smiled to herself as she read it, her body overcame with a warm feeling 

Paige: I miss you too… 

Bryant: Can I see you before you go to bed? I miss you.. With a sad emoji face

Paige: Sure, I will text you in a little bit to let you know when 

Bryant: Alright babe, see you soon! 

She placed her phone back into her pocket as she began to eat, they socialized with each other about school and home life. As they finished up Paige went into the kitchen to wash the dishes, she was used to it since she was usually home by herself in the evening. Amy walked in nudging her, “I saw that smile at the table, what was that all about?” she said curiously, “Bryant wants to see me before I go to bed, he said he misses me..” Paige said with happiness in her voice, “Ohhhh???” Well tell him to bring his friend so I can properly introduce myself to him” she said eagerly with a smirk, Paige took out her phone and texted him, asking him to bring Aaron along  when he came, she knew how Amy was and was kind of scared she would hurt him in the end, “Amy… look Aaron is a good guy and I really don’t want you to end up hurting him” Paige said with concern, she placed her arm around Paige’s shoulder and said “Who said anything about hurting him? I just want to talk” Amy giggled.  Paige didn’t know if this was such a good idea anymore but she went along anyways. 

It was around 9:00pm, she had already texted Bryant to come over, he was bringing Aaron along since he was staying over his house for the night. They heard a honk outside, she glanced out the window and saw Bryant’s car. Her and Amy walked out to the car, “Hey babe” Bryant said patting the leather passenger seat motioning for her to sit down, she hopped in and gave him a hug, Aaron got out and leaned against the back of the car as Amy went over to him, they seemed to litting it off pretty well, laughing and joking amongst each other. Paige leaned over and rested her head on Bryant’s shoulder, he gave her a kiss on the forehead. “I’ve missed you” he whispered to her, she looked up at him with her head still placed on his shoulder, “I’ve missed you too” she whispered back, he leaned down and pressed his lips against hers, he kissed her passionately causing Paige to let out a soft moan when his tongue touched hers. She knew she couldn’t go into a full force makeout session with him since Aaron and Amy were both right outside of the car. Bryant slowly moved his lips down running his tongue across her neck lightly, she began breathing harder as he kissed her spot, she felt chills go up her spine as he continued. She gripped his hand squeezing it to let him know that he was turning her on. She heard him giggle then he pulled away. “Damn girl you don’t know what you do to me” he said trying to calm himself down, she felt her face becoming warm as she faced the floor smiling, “One of these days Paige.. One of these days..” he said squeezing her hand. She glanced at him as he said that and then smiled even more, she knew he wanted her, really bad, but she wasn’t ready, not just yet but it was becoming harder to hold herself back from him. She heard Amy say out to her “Aaron invited me to a bonfire tomorrow at the lake, you want to go?” Paige looked worriedly at Bryant, he raised his brows, they both knew what happened at the last party she went to, she didn’t want to end up swimming in the lake naked like she did the guys pool!! “U-ummm…” I hesitated, “Come on Paige! It will be fun!” Amy eagerly said, wanting her to say yes.. She knew Amy was really trying to get to know Aaron and she didn’t want to ruin it for her so she sighed out loudly than agreed, “Fiiinnneee” She saw the huge smile that came across her face, she felt Bryant whisper in her ear, “This time I won’t let you off so easy” with a laugh, she frowned at him. They had been out in the car for about an hour, and she knew her parents would eventually come looking so they decided to get back before they did. She gave him a kiss goodnight then headed in.
