Bella looked up from her chair and watched Martin kiss Lynn Sanders’ red lips.
Her heart deeply hurt. Bitterness arose intensely inside her, and tears gushed from her big eyes.
She had spent four years, her most beautiful years, with Martin. Although she wasn't fond of him at first, later, she firmly believed that Martin Smith would be with her. They would marry and grow old together. She had planned everything about their future.
Ann Jones’ voice on the cruise seemed to still resonate. “Your Martin may be accompanying other women...”
Even Lynn had sensed something weird, yet she didn’t notice anything.
Bella could feel the pain at the bottom of her heart and curled herself up at the bottom of the seat with her lips forcibly pressed together, and tried not to be noticed.
“Martin, shall we go? It’s too hot. I want to go back to have a spa.” Lynn was so spoiled that Bella could hardly bear it.
“It was you who wanted to go to the sea, but now you want to go back. There’s nothing I can do with you.” Martin’s gentle voice was like a sharp knife that plunged deep into her heart.
Now, she wants them to speak less and drive quickly. So, she could get away from this narcissistic woman faster. Her mother must be worried sick about her, for she had been gone for a whole day.
The car finally moved. Her head jolted and hit the seat in front.
She covered her mouth with both hands, attempting to not make a sound, but Lynn heard the noise.
“What was that?” Lynn looked back and saw Bella curled up behind her seat, shocked, and screamed, “Bella? Oh, Sister, what are you doing here?”
Shocked, Martin Smith also looked at the embarrassed Bella and frowned. “How did you get into my car?”
The car stopped, and the loud footsteps outside reduced Bella to beg. She looked at Martin and whispered, “Please, can you drive first?”
Lynn had already gotten out of the car, opened the back door, attempted to drag her out of it, and hypocritically shouted, “Sister, you are soaked. Dry your body first. Otherwise, not only will you get sick, but Martin’s car will also be wet.”
She was unwilling to put all her hopes on Martin. Bella grabbed her seat tight and refused to let go. She looked at Martin Smith and whispered eagerly, “Please, can you drive? We were almost married, please don’t be so cruel to me!”
Lynn loathed her sister. She was so shameless that she even tried to seduce Martin. She snorted and used all her strength to pull Bella out mercilessly. Bella’s face almost touched the rough sand, she timely propped herself up with both hands, but a layer of her skin had rubbed away. She didn’t have time to worry about it, Bella got up and ran away. She knew Lynn with her big mouth, would soon attract people.
But just after running a few steps away, she found there were two lines of cars neatly parked, with their doors open. In front of each vehicle stood two people dressed in black.
A white luxury sports car sped up, and then put on the brakes sharply in front of her. The door opened, and she could see a pair of slender legs fall to the ground. The man, cold and sullen, walked towards her slowly. Bella stared at his eyes in astonishment and stepped back step by step. Finally, she turned and ran, but without running far, the security guards who were searching for her came and formed a wall to stop her.
Damn sick man, he came back too soon.
Behind him, his assistant, Ziv, looked at Bella with a sympathetic look.
No one dared to disobey Lord's orders before
Dozens of bodyguards separated on both sides, and Lord Charles and Bella were sandwiched in the middle.
Lynn Sanders, who had just walked over, suddenly lit up as she looked at Charles, who walked out elegantly.
This man, the hereditary Lord of Vancouver Island, the world-famous “King of the Sea,” Charles Williams, boasts billions of dollars, even the Queen of England would show her courtesy.
He was more handsome and compelling than she had seen on the news, and his unique and powerful aura made him even more charming.
Martin got out of the car and walked toward Bella, frowning an eyebrow.
Charles Williams? When did he get to Vancouver? Bella seems to know this man, the legendary, mysterious King of the Sea.
He looked at this man’s daunting manner again, and her anxious look.
Is he chasing after her?
Martin noticed that Bella’s body was soaked, and her white outfit adhered to her slim body, it outlined her delicate figure. Martin Smith never knew that she had such a perfect figure.
“Lord, how should we deal with those people?” Ziv looked back at the bustling people on the beach and asked for instructions in a low voice, which only two of them could hear.
“Our rules,” Charles said.
“Yes,” Ziv answered softly.
Only after a short while, the calm sea became turbulent. A massive wave struck the sand, and those who had been resting on the shore were still on the beach, but the positions had changed.
It took only a few seconds for the waves to appear and disappear, so people didn’t really care. But the situation here was distorted.
“Bella Brook. You dare to escape from Williams’ Mansion.” Charles walked and stopped in front of her. His voice was cold enough to freeze the water.
Martin Smith wanted to come forward but was stopped by Lynn.
“Sir, sir... I’m running for exercise. Really, I run two thousand meters every day. I’m not trying to run away. Believe me.” Bella quickly squeezed out a big smile. Her teeth showed clearly.
“Take her back,” Charles ordered coldly, his hands in his pockets. Bella could not help shivering again.
“Don’t do it, don’t tie me up, I’m going. I will go myself.” Bella waved her hands in a hurry, but Ziv fastened her wrists and tied her hands together at an incredible speed. “Miss Bella, please come back with us.”
Bella suddenly turned back to look at Martin Smith who was still in a daze. She cried out loud, pleading, “Martin, save me, save me... Those pictures and medical reports were falsified. I was framed. Save me. Think about the life we shared, Martin...”
