Jace's POV

"Ugh"I groaned for the umpteenth time today but I couldn't help it, everything seems to either frustrate me,irritate me or annoy me, although it's a usual occurrence but today's own is just at its peak. I haven't heard anything from or about you know who since the day at the police station and I am not finding it funny at all, Grayson assured me that he had sacked Paige as I had requested him to but not without expressing the regret he had after doing it, he was confused as to why I would ask for such an outrageous thing but I don't know I never do sane things this days, but what frustrates me the most is the fact that she isn't even trying to look for a job when she clearly needs one, incase your wondering how I know that I have someone watching her,not as a stalker just some sort of protection but definitely not stalking, right? I don't even know but don't judge me it's the only way I can keep tabs on her and be assured she's safe cause she didn't even want to seat in the same car with me even tho she didn't have to say anything so I can't really expect her to tell me how she's doing without wanting to stab me continuously to death but the funniest part of it all is that I don't blame her one bit for her reactions right now,cause if I were to be in her situation I would do much worse, like who leaves his pregnant girlfriend who was just in her last year in high school to take care of herself and the baby all alone,even went ahead to deny the baby he clearly knew was his and threaten her to say nothing about it,tho she said she lost the baby few months into the pregnancy I can't help but feel much worse than I already did before I met her again. Meaning she was still going through heartbreak and then she lost her baby it must have been a heartwrenching experience,while she was battling with the situation I put her in I was busy enjoying all life could offer under my father's name with his wealth,I am such a horrible person.

"Well someone definitely woke up on the wrong side of the bed today"I heard someone say form the door snapping out of my daze as I groaned again a much louder and annoyed one at that,

"What do you want now?"I asked already growing impatient when he just arrived,

"Calm down little bro, what got in your pants this morning, I know your always this grumpy old man but this is worse" my stupid younger brother if I may add said,

"Just get out"I said not letting him get comfortable on the side couch he happened to have offered himself cause I definitely don't want him here,

"That could have hurt if I wasn't used to it,but just wanted to tell you a package came in for you" I said but that didn't still interest me in anyway,packages always come for me and they are always documents from different companies,

"And?" I asked indifferently,

"It's not a normal package,it doesn't really have an address attached to it but its from your friend and private investigator,with the way it's wrapped its a very important document" he said and he smirked cause he finally got my attention,

"Let me see it"I said trying to sound less curious and anxious than I already am,

"Ahh so that got your attention,I knew something fishy is going on ...well here it is"he said dropping the parcel on my table, I sighed expecting anything at all most especially cause it took him longer than usual to get an information about someone,he usually takes a day or two but it's been a week,a sure hectic week if I might add. I slowly opened it suddenly scared of its contents, 'get yourself together Jace ,it's just a few things about a woman what's the worst that can happen'.........

Well the worst happened cause I am currently packed in front of you know who's house vibrating with anger,how could she,why would she even do such a thing,the fact that she lives in such a horrible environment with my child is just seems to fuel my anger, she lied to me,she said she lost the child,how could she......

Paige's POV

"Grace could you help me check who is at the door"I pleaded, apparently Alex made a mess in his room this weekend leaving me to clean it up this morning after dropping him off at school,yes I have not tried searching for another job, I don't see the need yet,the money Grayson gave me can last at least 6 months or less if not managed properly,so I am good to go and even tho I will not admit it to someone else I am kind of scared, everything that I went through at my last workplace is still very fresh and raw in my mind,some days it's just pops up in my mind ruining my mood for the day and some nights I have nightmares about them,so you can't really blame me for not trying again right?......

"Uhmm,Paige you may want to come out here for a minute" Grace said in a very wierd voice that she only used once when I was arrested meaning I wasn't going to like it and yes immediately I walked into the living room I didn't like the sight one bit. Jace Russo stood there in all his glory but that was not what shocked me the most,the deadly look on his face did,he knew ,he just had to find out didn't he and with the pictures all over I just confirmed it without wanting to, at first no one noticed my presence and I actually contemplated running away but before I could take three steps back Grace turned to me with an apologetic smile on her face and another emotion I can't really decipher in her eyes,

"I will leave you two now" she said avoiding my eyes cause she knows very well I wouldn't want that, she finally glanced my way when she was already at the door at muttered 'I am sorry but I am very bad at dealing with situations like this 'before walking away,

"How did you find this place?" Was the first question I found best to ask, stupid right but what am I expected to do,welcome him with open hands of course not,

"Why did you lie to me?"he asked glaring at me,i guess it's the same glare that he uses on his inferiors that made them fear him but surprisingly it didn't affect me in anyway,

"Ahh your answering my question with a question,you started it then might as well end it......why are you here?"I asked back clicking my tongue to make a 'tsk' sound letting him know I am highly irritated by his presence in my home,

"You lied about our child"he said more like an accusation this time instead of a question and something ticked inside me,

"Did you just say our child?....."I asked turning my irritation into anger and let me say it's a very hot burning anger cause even Jace flinched at the tone of my voice,I was now the one glaring,how the tables turned so quickly,

"Last I checked you denied my child and asked me to say nothing about it,you even threatened me and you have the guts to say our child.....you disgust me, Get out"I said making sure the hatred I have for him was evident in each word,the look on his face showed I definitely had the upper hand and this was not how he expected this to go,I wonder what he expected tho cause he could not have thought that I would welcome him with open hands,

"I just want to see him"he said calmly this time around,

"He doesn't want to see you,now leave"I said still standing my ground,

"Please Paige"he said looking straight at me trying to keep eye contact, those eyes that once gave me hope just felt like they were bringing back all the pain all over again,I could never see them the same way again,

"No Mr Russo, besides he isn't home"I said,

"Please,I know he is at school,he will be back by 2 that's why I came so we could go pick him up together"he said sounding hopeful,in his dreams,

"I will pick my child up on my own and you will not come near him"I said turning to leave,

"Please,you can tell him I am his uncle, friend anything if you don't want him to know I am his father but please let me just see him"he begged again,I was already leaving once more when Grace walked back in,

"In as much as I know little to nothing about what transpired between the two of you but one thing I know is that Alex needs his father in his life and you know that,you can't keep lying to him that his father is dead cause yes I know that's what you told him,you are doing a great job but he needs his Dad"she said looking straight at me with that look that said I had to listen to her,that look that reminded me so much of my mother,

"I won't lie to my son,I will tell him who you are but anything that happens must be according to my terms and conditions"I said with finality in my tone not even turning to look at Jace,

"Agreed" he said trying to mask the smile that was already forming on his face,what an i***t,I glanced at Grace one last time before going back into the room to think of the terms and conditions and curse myself for even letting this get this far,he wasn't supposed to know about Alex, let alone meet him.

Jace's POV

"Thank you so much,you have no idea what you have just done for me"I said to the woman who just helped me out of my helpless situation,

"I didn't do it for you,I did it for Alex,I definitely don't like you,you have done more harm than good before you even found out about her little white lie"she said before walking away leaving me even more confused about this whole situation than I already was,

"Alex"I tested his name smiling to myself,

"Alex Russo" I said again smiling widely this time,I love it,

"My baby,how was school today?"Paige asked as Alex got to where we were standing,

"The usual"he said with a small smile obviously not noticing my presence but I on the other hand couldn't take my eyes off him,from his tussled hair to his well shaped nose like his mother's own,his eyes that look exactly like mine,there is no way anyone could say he isn't mine cause he is just a splitting image of me,mini Jace Russo,

"Hey Alex"I said in a soft tone getting impatient and annoyed from being ignored and knowing fully well Paige wouldn't do the introduction for me,

"Mum,who is he " he asked in a defensive tone not bothering to reply me,well that wasn't expected,

"Did he hurt you mum,Is everything alright?"he asked before Paige could answer his first question,while is stood there shocked and dumbfounded, Paige had an amused and proud smile on her face,

"Calm down baby, Mama's fine"she said bending to kiss his cheeks and with the way he scrunched his face he isn't a fan of it but he didn't say anything, a true man indeed,

"I am Jace Russo,your Dad"I said with a small smile, stretching my hand out for a handshake,what else was I supposed to do,

"My what?.."he asked turning to look at his mum for confirmation I think,Paige smiled sadly at him before nodding confirming it,

"It can't be,Mum said your dead.....dead people don't come back do they?....do they, Mum?" He asked stepping back a bit, the look in his face said it all,this is going to be more difficult than I expected........
