"Aren't you feeling pain?" I heard the voice of Damian call after me. Right, I was supposed to be feeling pains all over my body, but they seemed to have suddenly disappeared. I guess my wolf was happy and had extra energy today.
I turned back shyly to gaze at him, uncertainty clouding my expression. I wanted to go as far away from him as possible and not give in to the mate bond one bit, but he was making everything difficult for me.
He approached with a softness in his eyes that contradicted the fierce alpha I saw moments ago, and a part of me was curious to explore and find out every damn thing about him, from his fears to his dislikes and who he loves.
