In a reputed company. Daniel Xavier sat at his desk full of piles of files. He just stared blankly at the glass in his hand which was filled with red liquid. He only shook the glass once in a while. While his sharp eyes were focused on his own reflection. But more complicated, his mind was not on that.
Suddenly the door opened. A young man in a driver's uniform entered. Take off his clothes, then hang them where they are available. His name is Alex, Daniel's confidant and friend.
"If they find out you kept the girl there. I can't imagine what would have happened," said Alex.
Daniel who had been daydreaming, his mind immediately focused on Alex's words. Even though he is very depressed and disturbed by everything he decides on his own, he still tries to stay calm.
"I know. This is also a very difficult decision for me," said Daniel, then finished the rest of his drink to the toilet.
"Then what next?" asked Alex.
"I don't know either. But, from now on, make new rules. We don't accept guests at the house. All guests are transferred to the house near the lake," said Daniel.
Alex took a deep breath. He understands all the decisions of his master. Although this decision will change everything.
"Your decision is mine," said Alex. He stood up and walked over to Daniel. As usual at the same time he would check the marks on Daniel's body.
"Let me take your clothes off," said Alex.
Daniel glared at Alex.
"You know what? I always feel amused whenever you say that," said Daniel.
Alex just chuckled. His hand reached out and began to unbutton some of Daniel's shirt, then lowered his coat. After that, Alex slowly turned the chair so that he could easily see the mark on Daniel's neck. The image of the small dragon was still partially lit. The red flame just started from the tail to the center of the dragon's body.
"Unexpectedly, this sign flashes quickly. You should stay away from humans for the time being. You can just leave the job here to your beautiful secretary." Alex tried to suggest the best.
"I understand. But I don't need to get married," Daniel refused.
Alex frowned.
"You don't have to get married. You just need a woman. You need an outlet. How are you going to hold back the turmoil of desire when the sign is at its peak!?!" asked Alex.
"I don't like women!" said Daniel in a slightly high voice.
"What are you talking about. I can't be your victim." Alex crossed his arms over his chest.
Seeing Alex's absurd attitude. Daniel was about to snap his fingers.
"Stop I'm just kidding. I know you don't like boys either," said Alex quickly. He almost got punished for his actions.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Daniel quickly straightened his clothes. While Alex sat back in the guest chair.
"Come in," said Daniel.
A beautiful woman with an attractive appearance entered the room.
"I need your signature here," said the woman.
Daniel skimmed the file, then he signed the file.
"Starting tomorrow I will be on a business trip. Arrange everything as usual and for the files I need to sign, you can send them."
"Okay, sir," said the woman who worked as Daniel's secretary. "You have a visitor from the police. They said it was very important and urgent."
Daniel looked at Alex. He had to ask his advisor for consideration. When Alex nodded it meant that it didn't matter if he met the policeman.
"Allow them to enter this room," said Daniel.
The secretary immediately left the room.
"Looks like they found a clue," said Daniel.
"Maybe. We'll see," said Alex.
The door was opened by the previous secretary. After two policemen entered, the door was closed again.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Daniel. Sorry to disturb you," said one of the policemen.
"No problem, please sit down. Introduce this Mr. Alex. He is my confidant and I also involve his consideration in all my affairs. So, it doesn't matter to say anything in front of him," said Alex because the two policemen stared at Alex for a long time.
"All right then. I'm Tommy, in charge of the Edward family murder case and this is Marrie my co-worker."
Marie smiled sweetly at Daniel. But Daniel did not respond.
"Are there any developments?" asked Daniel impatiently to find out the killer.
Tommy pulled the file onto the table. There was also a brown envelope which Tommy immediately opened. It turned out that it contained a photo of the victim, namely a photo of Edward and Sarah.
"The autopsy showed that the two had put up a fight. It turns out that their death was not caused by strangulation in the neck, but a final, precise stab to the heart. The problem is, the murder weapon has not been found and the strangulation marks temporarily came from a fairly sharp fingernail, with the conclusion The five killer nails were all pointy and sharp. Based on this we concluded that the killer was a woman. And we came here to ask permission to interrogate her daughter. We heard that Jane is under your protection," said Tommy.
"You're right. But why Jane? She is the victim's daughter and the killer could be an acquaintance of the victim. Neighbors, friends, colleagues or anyone else," said Daniel. He couldn't just allow the police to suspect Jane.
"We have interrogated several people who deserve to be suspected. And in the investigation we have to be neutral. About anyone could be the perpetrator of the murder, including the victim's closest family." Tommy reiterated.
Daniel could not refute Tommy's words. He immediately looked at Alex who understands more about human feelings.
"I don't think so. Jane can do it," said Alex.
"Okay. Tomorrow you can come to this address," said Daniel, handing him his personal business card.
"Thank you for your cooperation, sir. We will be back tomorrow at your house," said Tommy.
The two policemen said goodbye. While Daniel rubbed his face roughly.
"How can I prove that it wasn't Jane, but..."
"Forget it, Daniel. It's not the best decision. Let them interrogate Jane. There will be no evidence against the girl, even if she is a witness to the murder of her parents. Jane will never remember anything," Alex ended Daniel's words.
What Alex said was true. Daniel could only silently obey. Although his little heart felt dissatisfied with the decision. He would find whoever had killed Edward. For Daniel, Edward is a father figure who has given him a new life. If it wasn't for Edward, Daniel would have been dead since he was a child. He would never be able to stand up straight as he is now.
"Who is that!?!" Alex shouted startling Daniel.
It turned out that someone was eavesdropping on their conversation from outside.
