As usual Leon today came to pick me up at home. I immediately checked all the items in the bag. Don't miss a class assignment. But when I was about to say goodbye to go to college I couldn't find anyone. The house looked deserted with no one at all. Luckily I found a sandwich on the dining table. I immediately ate one bite and finished a glass of milk, then I ate the rest of the sandwich while walking to meet Leon who was waiting in his car.
"Let's go," I said to Leon.
Leon nodded. He immediately stepped on the gas pedal and took us to campus. Usually we are always the center of attention as soon as we arrive on campus. But strangely today the campus looks deserted. Though usually the men had stood up just to watch me pass. Meanwhile the girls came to shout at Leon. You could say we are the most wanted pair of this campus. We're a couple that makes everyone jealous. Not a few of them expect our farewell. Unfortunately Leon and I don't want that. Our relationship is still fine without any major problems.
"It's so quiet," Leon said after successfully parking his car.
"Right. Where is everyone?"
The two of us immediately walked into the campus. The deeper the noise began to be heard. Looks like our friends are gathering in a certain room. Remembering that, I began to realize that today we have a seminar.
"Oh my! Maybe the seminar has started, Leon," I said to Leon.
"You're right. Why do we forget it," Leon replied.
We immediately walked half run towards the campus hall. Today's seminar will be held there. All students are required to attend the seminar. When we got to the entrance. we slowly opened the door and chose the very back seat so as not to attract the attention of all the students. As we expected, the seminar had started a few minutes ago. Luckily it was still the opening ceremony, so we didn't miss any important material in today's seminar.
I quickly opened a notebook and I jotted down all the material explanations that I thought were important. I do break the rules a lot, but for lessons I never play games. Seeking outside experiences is important to me but learning is much more important. Therefore, until now the value of my course material has never dropped. I always rank best in my department.
Incidentally, today's speaker is the lecturer I admire the most. I'm a huge fan. Her name is Marsha, she is the youngest psychiatrist who has received many awards. His achievements and services to those in need of his help have been recognized by the world. Our campus is lucky to be able to bring in Marsha to fill in today's material and I will not waste this opportunity.
After the materials are finished, I want to meet him personally. I wanted to say hi to him and take a picture with him. I wish there was a chance to do that.
Marsha delivered today's material fluently and using language that flows and is in accordance with the language of today's youth. So that the lesson does not feel stiff, but fun for us. Without realizing it several hours had passed and the seminar had ended.
"At first I refused to teach at this campus. I only agreed to your chancellor's request to fill the seminar today. But after seeing all of your enthusiasm, my heart was interested in becoming a lecturer at this campus," said Marsha.
All the students immediately clapped and welcomed Marsha's desire to teach on campus positively. I also feel very happy if Marsha actually teaches at our campus.
"Yes. I think I'll think about it. But I want to hear what you think. You who are sitting there wearing a blue shirt, are you happy if I teach here. What do you think?" asked Marsha to one of the students.
Everyone immediately turned to the student, so did I. Do not let the student reject Marsha's desire to teach at our campus. If he refuses maybe I will beat him first.
"Could you stand up to state your opinion. Don't forget to say your name," asked Marsha again.
The student stood looking somewhat forced. His stature is tall and his body is sturdy. I think I've just seen the student, but I don't feel foreign either. As if I've seen it. Meanwhile, everyone was fascinated and stared at him including Marsha. I also became curious and also looked at him while hoping that his opinion was also the same as mine.
"My name is Daniel. Actually I don't deserve to give my opinion here. Because I'm new and don't know whether our campus still needs lecturers like you or not," said the student.
I was immediately surprised to hear his name. Now I know and remember very well who the young man with such perfect posture was. Only Daniel is the answer. But why is he here and a student?
"Really? Now I ask all students in this room, do you agree if your voice is represented by Daniel?" asked Marsha.
Unexpectedly, all the students answered in unison, yes. The students looked amazed at Daniel's figure. The other students looked at him curiously. When I looked again, Zayn was also with him. Since when did they both become students on this campus.
"You have heard Daniel. Your voice is their voice," said Marsha.
Daniel stared at everyone in silence. He looked at me too. From the look on his face, he doesn't like being in that position, but Daniel doesn't seem to be able to refuse everyone's requests.
"It seems that all students expect you to teach here. Even if I refuse, I don't think I will win this many votes of your supporters," said Daniel.
Everyone immediately clapped. They are very supportive of Daniel's words. While I was in a feeling between happy and not. Glad that's what I wanted too. Not happy that Daniel's existence seems to affect everyone.
"Looks like it's a freshman." Leon didn't really recognize that Daniel was my brother. He does look very young and handsome right now. Maybe even if I stood next to him I would look older than him. What a legacy of good looks that will not be passed down by my father and mother. He's just my stepbrother. Too charming stepbrother.
Daniel returned to his seat. He was so prominent among everyone. His handsome and charismatic figure certainly affects the surrounding environment. Apart from being the center of attention. His presence will also affect our fame on campus. Admit it or not he is a threat to us who are used to getting praise and being the center of attention.
"Show off," I said. Wait a minute. Maybe he suddenly went to college just to keep an eye on me. Damn, I said to myself.
