Haley's POV
I was putting my hiking shoes on when I heard a knock on the door.
"Come in," I said as I stood up and walked to my desk.
As I opened the door, I felt the sudden rush of cold air that made me shiver. It had been raining for the past few days, and the air was thick with humidity, which made the cold even worse. Despite the temptation to curl up in my bed and wrap myself in a warm blanket, I decided to go out on a hike. Today was the first day in almost two weeks that the rain had stopped, and I didn't want to miss the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. The forecast predicted that the rain would start again tomorrow and continue for at least a week, maybe even longer.
